摘要 安吉拉卡特是二十世纪著名英国女作家，以改写经典神话、颠覆 父权文化而著称于世界文坛，其独特的写作风格备受争议。卡特在创作 生涯中贯穿使用了哥特体裁。本文旨在结合女性哥特、弗洛伊德的“诡 异一、女性主义理论，分析卡特短篇小说中的哥特，指出她在继承传统 的同时锐意创新，运用哥特呈现鲜明的女性主义观点，并在形式和思想 上具有后现代特色，推动了哥特的发展。 本文分为五部分。第一章为前言，简要介绍卡特的创作历程、主要 作品、对其的评论及其作品中所表现的哥特和女性主义。第二章分析哥 特场景，与女性哥特一脉相承，卡特表现黑暗城堡、迷宫空间的禁锢特 征，尤其通过“锁”的意象揭示了父权对女性的压制。第三章分析哥特 事件，死亡和鬼魂出没为传统手法，在卡特笔下产生“诡异一效果。她 创新地着力呈现女性暴露于镜子中这一行为，探讨女性如何在焦虑和悬 疑中获得觉醒，认识自我，建构主体性。第四章讨论哥特角色，木偶和 吸血鬼形象在卡特的故事中与传统哥特有别，都是新型的女性角色，包 括占主导地位的女主角和拯救女儿的母亲，卡特由此在叙事中解构了两 性的权力关系。第五章为结论，指出卡特是超越了同时代的哥特主义者 和女性主义者，哥特在其笔下已经成为一种表现手段，在手法上具有后 现代特色，与多种视角、体裁相融合，表明了比传统女性哥特更具颠覆
