摘要 摘要 言语行为理论是语用学领域最早、最重要和比较系统的一个理论，它集中体现 了语言学界所谓的“言 则“行 的语言观。迄今为止，就奥斯汀提出的“言语行 为三分说 ( “言内行为”、“行事行为 、 “取效行为 ) 的研究不可说不多，而且 大都集中于“行事行为上，因为它同说话者的意图，即语用意图相一致，因此对 行事行为的定义、分类、如何用之于日常交际等问题引起语用学研究者广泛的关注， 但众多理论问题尚无明确公认的答案。因此，本文从言语行为的定义和分类入手， 回顾了迄今为止中外学者对行事行为分类的主要观点，结合笔者对于其分类的理解， 来探讨英语教学问题，以期在跨文化语用学框架内就语言的使用及其与语境的关系 做一新的思考。 关键词：跨文化交际言语交际行事行为语用意图语境 文摘 文摘 言语行为理论是语用学研究领域中最早、最重要和比较系统的一个理论，它集 中体现了语言学界所谓的“言”则“行”的语言观。迄今为止，语用学对于言语行 为理论的研究大多集中在奥斯汀提出的“言语行为三分说”( “言内行为 、“行事 行为和“取效行为”) 中的“行事行为 上，因为它同说话者的意图，即语用意 图相一致，因此行事行为的定义、分类、如何用之于日常交际等这样的问题成为广 大研究者关注的重点。 本文除了绪论和结语外，共分四章。 绪论简要概述笔者进行此项研究的缘由、言语行为理论提出的背景以及几十年 来诸多学者对于言语行为理论的研究思路。 第一章介绍了言语行为理论的历史渊源。虽然言语行为理论讨论的是言与行， 说话与做事，但把两者看成是一回事的观点历史上可考的就有波兰裔人类学家马林 诺夫斯基( m a l i n o w s h i ) 。奥斯汀思想的渊源是日常语言学派主张的自然语言本身是 完善的，而奥斯汀的早期施为句假设就源于这一观点。然而奥斯汀在进行了进一步 的研究之后发现自己的假设存在着无法解释的一面，因此奥斯汀关于言语行为的研 究走向了反面：即对语言功能的判断，不能单纯以语言形式为依据。更为系统化的 解释由奥斯汀的学生塞尔给出。 第二章从语言哲学角度分析了几个较有影响的语言哲学家( 如奥斯汀、塞尔和 利奇等) 对于言语行为理论中大家普遍关注的行事行为的分类。当然他们的分类各 有特点，但一个关键的问题在于他们几乎都从行为动词上下手。这一遗憾成为我们 研究的新起点。 第三章从行事行为的语用功能及语用意图的特点对这两个语用学术语进行了比 对，最终认定他们在本质上是从不同角度指称同一个行为。因此，我们认为在认定 或研究语言的使用上语用意图同行事行为是等同的。 第四章探讨了语境在跨文化交际过程中的关键作用，首先确认语境在推断语用 意图或行事行为时不可忽略的功效，尤其是文化语境在避免交际失误过程中的微妙 作用。笔者在研读语言学、语用学以及跨文化交际学领域有关论著后，结合有限的 教学实践，提出了一些改善或提高学生跨文化交际意识的建议。 结语指出本研究的主要目的是从语言学角度探索日常人们会话中的一些潜在规 则。首先回顾了一些有影响力的语用学家对行事行为的分类，继而提出跨文化交际 过程中常出现的交际失误的主要成因。笔者认为本研究有助于英语学者更多地了解 文化差异，更好地避免交际失误。由于笔者水平有限，本研究难免存在许多不足之 处，在即将完成论文之际，发现有些地方有待于完善，恳请专家不吝赐教。同时也 希望更多的学习者加入本课题的研究，期待有兴趣者对本课题进行更加深入的研究。 i a b s t r a c t a b s t r a c t s p e e c ha c tt
