内容摘要 隐喻研究传统上局限于修辞层和语言层，近二十年来，隐喻研究在认知科学领 域的发展得到了越来越广泛的认同。l a k o f f 和j o h n s o n 的“概念隐喻理论”从认知的 角度拓宽了隐喻的研究范围。该理论认为隐喻不仅仅是一种语言现象，更是一种认 知现象，是我们认知和理解世界的工具，人类赖以生存的许多基本概念系统以及人 类思维方式乃至行为方式本质上都是隐喻性的。 概念隐喻是l a k o f f 隐喻理论的一个重要概念。概念隐喻的形成是以人类身体经 验为基础的，所以人体在人类认知的发展中有着极其重要的地位。语言中大量的人 体隐喻本质上是概念隐喻的一种。人体隐喻是人类认识世界的一种重要认知方式。 然而，目前现代隐喻理论对人体隐喻的研究尚有不足。虽然国内有学者从英汉对比 的角度对英汉两种语言中大量的人体隐喻表达进行了较为细致的分类和对比研究， 但是多从人体器官和内脏隐喻入手，而对人体动作隐喻的研究非常鲜见。鉴于此， 本文以人体动作隐喻为研究内容，对大量英汉语料进行分析，着重探讨两种语言在 人体动作隐喻表达上的异同。研究发现，英汉语使用了许多相同的人体动作隐喻， 其相似点揭示了英汉隐喻同样源于身体经验，具有共同的心理、生理基础。同时， 英汉语在隐喻表达上也存在着很大的差异，主要表现在人体动作隐喻化认知的形成 受制于社会文化。 这项研究从认知的角度对人体动作隐喻作了较为全面的探讨，通过英汉对比， 进一步证实了当代隐喻理论中概念隐喻，至少是人体概念隐喻存在着认知普遍性以 及文化相对性。f 司时，也在一定程度上弥补了目前对于人体隐喻研究的不足。另外， 这项研究将对英语的教学具跨文化交际有一定的参考价值。 关键词：对比分析；身体动作词；隐喻 硕士学位论文 m a s t e r st h e s i s a b s t r a
