( 2 ) 若有，又是以怎样的方式产生影响的? 本文有三个章节组成，引言部分简要介绍本研究的目的、现状和意义。 第一章对相关的文献作了综述，主要包括语音意识的定义及成分、语音意 识和其他语言能力的关系、语音意识的迁移以及第一语言语音意识和第二语言 能力的关系。尽管研究者们从语音意识的不同的角度和不同的成分对语音意识 下了不同的定义，一般来说人们认为语音意识是对音节、首音、韵脚以及音位 的意识。大量的研究表明语音意识和儿童的读写能力有显著相关，也有一些研 究者发现语音意识和口语、词汇知识等也有密切关系。此外，虽然在两种不同 型的语言中语音意识能否迁移还存在分歧，大多数的研究者都声称语音意识能 从第一语言迁移到第二语言。而根据二语语言能力要素的基本理论，一个语音 能力强的人，在二语学习有关语音加工的主要方面( 口语和听力) 一定表现出 更大的优势。因此我们猜测当第一语言语音意识迁移到第二语言后会影响第二 福建师范大学胡文霞硕士学位论文 语言听说的流利程度。也就是说，第一语言语音意识强的人第二语言的听说能 力可能会更好。 但是在这个研究问题上我们至少面临三个问题：第一个问题是以往的研究 在两种不同型的语言中语音意识能否迁移还存在分歧，因此我们不能确定语音 意识能从汉语迁移到英语。第二个问题是在研究语音意识迁移问题上，以往大 多数研究都只以学前n - - 年级的儿童为被试，以成人为被试的两个研究结果没 能达成一致意见( h o l ma e ta 1 1 9 9 6 ；w a n g ，e ta l2 0 0 3 ) 。第三个问题是以往的研 究大都只研究语音意识和阅读、拼写的关系，而第一语言语音意识与第二语言 听说能力的关系一直以来都被忽视了。中国学生，尤其是成人学英语时比起语 法的掌握更大困难的是听说能力。因此有必要探讨汉语语音意识和成人英语能 力之间的关系。 第二章介绍了本研究的实验以及结果。4 0 名被试均来自中国福建师范大学 外国语学院英语专业大学三、四年级学生。实验任务为汉语语音意识测量和英 语假词快速朗读。其中汉语语音意识的测量包括4 个纬度：听觉声母意识、听 觉韵母意识、听觉声调意识以及视觉音节意识，都在特别设计的可以记录反应 时和f 确率的电脑程序上操作。英语假词快速朗读测试要求被试尽量以最快的 速度和最高的正确率朗读假词标准量表上的6 3 个假词，主试用c o o le d i t 软件对 被试的朗读进行录音。此外，把被试所有期末考试的听力和口语的成绩转换为 标准分，分别作为听力和口语的成绩。实验数据由s p s s 8 0 的相关分析和简单 回归分析，结果表明汉语的语音意识和英语的听、说能力之间显著相关。并且 汉语的声母意识、韵母意识和音节意识分别对英语口语、英语听力和英语语音 加工能力有一定的预测作用。 第三章讨论了实验结果，对本研究进行了总结，同时探讨了对英语学习的 启示以及本研究的局限性。本研究最重要的发现是汉语语音意识对学习英语的 中国学生的英语的听说能力有显著的影响。汉语语音意识好的学生其英语的听 说能力也强。汉语的首音意识、韵脚意识和音节意识分别在一定程度上对英语 的口语、听力以及语音处理能力有一定的解释力。由于语音意识不但和读写能 力关系密切，同时也和其他的语言能力如口语、语言的感知有紧密的联系。由 于语音意识的迁移，第一语言的语音意识影响第二语言能力，尤其是第二语言 福建师范大学胡文霞硕士学位论文 能力的两个重要指标：口语和听力。正如实验结果所证实的那样，语音意识作 为一种抽象的元语言能力，能够从第一语言迁移到第二语言中去( 即使是两种 不同型的语言) ，并对第二语言能力的发展产生影响。 实验结果显示汉语语音意识对英语语言能力的影响具体表现在以下三个方 面：第一，汉语的首音意识对英语的口语能力有一定的影响，这可能是由于语 言产出时的提取是从首音开始的，口语的能力体现为速度和准确性，因此首音 提取的速度和准确性影响到语言产出时的速度和准确性，从而影响到口语的能 力。第二，汉语的韵脚意识对英语听力有较高的解释力，这可能和语言理解时 对词语打包的从左到右的顺序有关，由于韵脚是一个词最后一部分的音，对韵 脚的f 确快速的感知有助于对整个词快速正确的理解，因此韵脚意识对听力有 很大的影响。第三，汉语的音节意识对英语的语音加工能力有某种程度的影响。 这可能是因为音节意识是最基本的同时也是儿童最早出现的语音意识能力，同 时汉语的词汇是以音节为单位的，每一个词只有个音节，因此音节意识能够 影响整体的语音加工能力。 本文的结果提示在学英语中要想有良好的听说能力，不能忽视汉语的语音 意识的重要作用，同时要想提高英语听说能力可能可以结合相应的汉语语音意 识进行训练。然而本文仍然存在不足之处：其一是被试英语听力和口语成绩来 自所有期末考试记录的标准分，因此不能确定那些记录能确切真实地反映被试 的英语听况能力。其二是被试局限于大学生，本研究结果是否适用于其他年龄 的被试尚不清楚，有待于进一步探讨。 v 福建师范大学j !
