坐奎奎兰堡! 茎堡堡塞 摘要 摘要是学术论文的“高度浓缩”，它以简短易懂的文字直接陈述论文的内容， 可以让读者很快了解论文的内容和结论，从而决定是否有必要通读全文。模糊限 制语作为英文写作中常用的语用策略，它能表明作者对命题及读者的态度，体现 作者的科学态度及对读者的尊重。随着英语逐渐成为国际领域的通用语，具有撰 写高质量、符合国际标准的英文摘要的能力，成为科研工作者及研究人员提高对 外学术交流不可缺少的技能。本文试图通过对比分析讨论了中国作者和英美作者 在科技论文英文摘要中使用模糊限制语的差异，以指导中国作者以及英语学习者 撰写规范的英文摘要，提高在科技论文英文摘要中恰当运用模糊限制语的能力。 本研究是以h y l a i l d ( 1 9 9 8 ) 对科技论文中模糊限制语的定义和分类为理论基 础，通过自建的两个英文摘要语料库，即英美作者撰写的英文摘要语料库和中国 作者撰写的英文摘要语料库，对语料库中模糊限制语的使用情况进行了定量和定 性的对比研究，分析讨论了模糊限制语的使用频率及在摘要四个组成部分中的分 布情况，并探讨了模糊限制语在英文摘要中的语用功能以及导致中国作者与英美 作者在模糊限制语使用方面差异的原因。 研究结果表明模糊限制语在科技论文英文摘要中大量存在，但是由于部分接 要写作不规范，没有完全包括摘要构成的四个部分：目的、方法、结果和结论， 这一定程度上将影响研究结果的准确性。但总体来说，中国作者在英文摘要中使 用模糊限制语的频率要低于英美作者，而且对模糊限制语在摘要构成部分的分布 也不如后者使用的合理、恰当，例如中国作者在结果部分过量使用模糊限制语， 而目的部分却使用较少。 结果分析表明中国作者对英文摘要写作规范的掌握程度以及对模糊限制语 的忽视是导致中国作者使用不规范的最明显的影响因素。因此，通过对比分析中
