和道德标准生活的女性形象。在他们眼里，女人应该是谦虚的，纯洁的并且要全 心全意地照顾她们的丈夫。然而，哈代与这些作家不同，在他的作品中，出现了 一些具有独立个性，勇于挑战传统的女主人公。但是，这些角色极不符合父权社 会对妇女形象的要求，引发了众多批评和争论。大家都关注哈代在塑造这些人物 时的构思及这些女主人公身上的体现出来的哈代的女性伦理观。本论文试图从女 性主义伦理批评及文学伦理学批评的角度来研究哈代小说中的两个重要角色，即 苔丝和巴斯谢芭并分析哈代的女性伦理观在她们身上的体现。 本论文由四个章节组成。第一章主要介绍本论文研究的两部小说及两位女主人 公，即苔丝和巴丝谢芭。第二章论述本论文所运用的理论文学伦理学批评与 女性主义伦理学。第三章通过分析苔丝和巴丝谢芭迥异于维多利亚传统女性的特
