摘要 翻译策略一直是翻译界研究的重点和热点。在诸多关于翻译策略 的探讨中，大多是以源语为中心，且多局限于语言层面的对比，直到 二十世纪八十年代出现翻译的文化转向后，开始注意文化层面的对 比，长期以来译界对此问题争论不休。本文作者认为，置翻译研究于 广阔的社会文化背景下，从规范论的角度来重新研究翻译策略问题， 可为译界研究翻译提供一个新的视角，解释翻译策略选择中一些两难 的尴尬问题，诸如何时采用归化策略，何时采用异化策略，到底异化 优于归化，还是归化优于异化等。 翻译策略的选择受到诸多因素的影响，如文本类型、译者目的、 译文读者期待和翻译规范的约束等。本文旨在探讨翻译策略选择与规 范的关系。从而指出在规范的影响下，译者可依据实际情况，辩证科 学地运用归化或者异化的翻译策略，达到文化交流的目的。 文章分四部分展开。第一部分界定了与翻译策略有关的几个术语 的定义，说明了中西译界历史上的归化异化之争，描述了中西译界历 史上关于归化异化的研究，指出翻译策略研究的局限性，提出从规范 论的角度审视归化异化问题的观点。 第二部分探讨了本论文研究的理论基础觑范论。作者先讨论 了规范的起源与发展，然后介绍了规范的定义及其比较，然后论述了 勒维、图里等对规范的研究。最后指出规范论对翻译策略选择的研究 具有实用价值和现实意义。 第三部分从规范论的角度来研究翻译策略。本文作者从两个方面 对规范与翻译策略的关系展开论述：一方面，如果译者遵守目的语规 范。通常采用归化的翻译策略：另一方面，如果译者遵守源语规范， 通常采用异化的翻译策略。 第四部分通过个案研究来论证规范与翻译策略的相互影响。通过 对不同时期的译者严复的归化翻译与鲁迅的异化翻译的比较，发现不 同译者因遵守源语规范或遵守目的语规范，而采用不同的翻译策略。
