从功能翻译视角谈山东旅游材料的英译 摘要 近年来随着国力的增强，中国正逐步成为旅游强国。外国游客渴望到中国旅 游。旅游资料的英译本现己成为外国游客了解旅游信息的最便捷的途径。当前山 东省各地都在大力发展旅游业。随着旅游业的繁荣，迫切需要高质量的山东旅游 材料的翻译，可很多翻译不能令人满意。有些山东旅游资料的英译本，不能有效 地吸引外国游客并实现其所蕴含的市场营销功能。因此，有必要对山东旅游材料 翻译进行系统的研究。 本论文以德国功能翻译理论为指导，来探索山东旅游材料翻译的有效途径。 本文之所以选用德国功能翻译理论作为旅游材料翻译的指南，是由于旅游材料的 特点和旅游翻译的市场营销功能所决定的。旅游材料翻译必然要求实现其吸引游 客、推动旅游发展等市场营销功能。 然而，中英文化的巨大差异导致了中英旅游材料有很多不同。为了帮助外国 游客更好的理解译文，译文语言应该顺应英语旅游文本的表达习惯。旅游翻译需 要以功能为导向的翻译理论作指导，以便于译者采取灵活翻译策略在目的语文化 中实现吸引外国游客的功能。德国功能翻译理论是以实现翻译功能为导向的，它 强调译文的交际功能。该理论能够指导旅游材料翻译更有效地实现其营销功能。 因此，德国功能翻译理论是旅游翻译的首选指导理论。 论文导言首先分析中国旅游业的迅猛发展和旅游材料翻译的重要作用。接着 介绍了国内旅游材料翻译研究的现状，随后指出了本论文选择德国功能理论作为 指导的理由。 第二部分回顾了德国功能翻译理论的形成背景及发展历程，并总结各主要代 表人物的主要思想。 第三部分首先介绍了旅游资料的范围，市场营销功能和特点。然后指出了德 国功能理论对于旅游材料翻译的重要指导意义：讨论了山东旅游材料翻译中的几
