重要作用，及其底层的认知机制，即忽略了语言的外部因素，如人类的语境知识、 百科知识、认知手段、生活体验等，因此未能把握一词多义现象的实质，没有对这 一语言现象做出令人满意的解释。认知语言学扬弃传统语义学的研究路径，侧重探 讨词义发展的规律和模式，分析词的语义结构形成的原因和机制，但对其词义扩展 的限制因素研究不足。本文试图从词汇语用学的角度对一词多义现象作出新的阐释， 探讨词义扩展的语用过程和优选制约机制，认为讨论词汇的多义性必须把词汇的意 义与具体运用结合起来，只有语境作用才能激活词汇各种意义的实现。 词汇语用学以g f i c e 提出的会话合作原则为理论基石，结合语用机制、语境知 识和百科知识，对词汇意义进行动态分析，认为词项的表征具有语义上的不明确性， 理解语义不明确的词汇需要结合语境和百科知识进行必要的语用充实。本文有两个 目的：其一，整合语用i 原则与q 原则，并结合b l u m e r 的双向优选模式，提出优选 语境充实模式以解释词汇多义性的实现和制约问题。其二，研究机构类词汇( 如 s c h o o l 、g o v e m m e n t 、p 砌i 枷e n t 等) 的【b u i l d i n g ( 建筑) 义项，特别是对“s c h 0 0 l ” i v a s t u d y o f p o l y s e m y i na n o p t i m a l c o n t e x t u a l e n r i c h m e n t m o d e l o f l e x i c a l p r a g m a t i c s ( 学校) 和“g o v e r n m e n t ”( 政府) 二词进行对比研究，以解释为何处于同一语义场 ( “机构”语义场) 的词，尽管具有相同的语义扩展潜势，即两者都具有表征 b u i l d i n c ( 建筑) 的可能性，但实际上这种潜势只在“s c h o o l ”一词中得到实现， 而在“g o v e r n m e n t ”一词中则受到限制。 全文共分六章。第一章简要介绍本文的理论基础以及近年来词汇语用学在词汇 多义性研究方面的进展。第二章对多义词加以界定并剖析其主要特征，总结和介绍 词汇多义性研究的发展脉络和主要观点。第三章阐释非表征手段在词汇意义语境充 实过程中的重要作用，同时把g r i c e 的合作原则整合为i ( n f o r m a t i v e n e s s ) 原则和 q ( u a n t i t y ) 原则( 亦称说话人经济原则和听话人经济原则) ，揭示二者在词义语境充实 过程中的作用。第四章基于b l u m e r 的双向优选模式，建构一词多义现象的优选语境 充实模式。第五章具体分析机构类词汇中的 b m i n o ( 建筑) 义项，揭示优选语境 充实模式的解释力。第六章结语，指出词汇多义性扩展的限制问题可以在词汇语用 学框架下得到较好的解释，词汇的多义潜势必须通过语用限制条件的优选模式，在 语境中得以实现。词汇语用学作为一门新兴的语言学科，对多种语言现象，特别是
