摘要 隐喻传统上被看作是一种修辞手段，是有异于普通语言的诗歌语言。但仅仅把隐 喻作为修辞手段或语言现象来研究是不够的，因为隐喻是人类思维的重要手段，参与 了人类的认知过程。隐喻究其本质是种认知现象，起着重要的认知功能。 隐喻借助于一个相对具体的概念域去说明或理解另一个相对抽象的概念域。由于 人类的认知规律是由近及远，由实体到非实体，由简单到复杂，这就决定了人体及其 器官是人类认知世界的基础。人体隐喻是人类认识世界的一种重要的认知方式。然而， 对于人体隐喻的研究还没有引起人们的足够重视。虽然国内已有学者对英汉人体隐喻 表达进行了较为细致的分类和对比研究，但是没有详细地分析造成人体隐喻化认知异 同的认知及文化原因。 本文从认知角度，运用莱考夫和约翰逊的隐喻理论，对英汉语中的人体隐喻迸行 对比分析，着重探讨两种语言在人体隐喻表达上的异同，并从认知和文化两个角度分 析其形成原因。研究表明，英汉人体隐喻表达之间相似性大于差异性。这是因为英汉 人体隐喻同样源于身体经验，具有共同的生理、心理基础，即认知的普遍性。同时， 英汉人体隐喻在表达上也存在一定的差异，这主要是由于文化的相对性造成的。本文 在一定程度上弥补了目前对于人体隐喻研究的不足。另外，这项研究将在一定程度上 对语言的词汇教学，修辞教学起到指导作用。 关键词：人体隐喻；认知普遍性；文化相对性 a b s
