硕士学位论文 、1 盯l ! l i 1 1 川蚓s 内容摘要 康拉德和劳伦斯通常被看着是现代主义流派中两位出色的作家，毫无疑 问二者在作品的表现方式和主题上会存在一定的相似性和相异性，而其相似 性正是本文探讨的重点：他们在创作黑暗心灵和马贩子的女儿时， 有意识无意识地运用了著名心理学家弗洛伊德的心理分析理论以及采用了现 代主义的一些创作手法，如心理分析、象征主义、意象主义及神话原型等等， 把描写重心从外部世界转向人物的内心世界，表现人物在充满矛盾、冲突的 现实世界中的内心体验与感受，其中对形式与技巧的革新也服务于探寻人物 内在精神世界的需要：从题材内容上分析，二者从传统小说着重反映外部物 质世界转向反映个人内心精神世界，即着重表现“自我”。由于现代西方社会 危机丛生，造成了一种普遍的失望与恐惧心理，异化和危机的感觉渗透到生 活的每一个领域，两位在其作品中热衷表现这种文化氛围里的个人经验和感 受，展示他的潜意识和无意识活动，描绘他被扭曲的灵魂和受伤的心灵，塑 造了典型的现代主义“反英雄”人物如前者笔下的科兹灵魂受到腐蚀， 后者笔下的杰克医生和梅布尔精神苦闷、灵魂空虚，以及梅布尔的i 个哥哥 简直与动物无异。其次，从题材形式上分析，二者在小说的题材和形式方面
