摘要s e a r l e ( 1 9 7 5 ) 将言语行为中的间接言语行为分为规约性和非规约性两种。前者的言外之力在某种程度上已经固定在语言形式中，并为人们普遍接受，而后者必须结合交际场合或语境，并通过推理来获得。非规约性间接言语行为是日常交际中极为普遍的语言现象，所以如何对此类言语行为进行正确的语用推理也显得尤为重要。本文从认知角度对英语中非规约性间接言语行为的语用推理机制进行尝试性分析。语用推理可从宏观视角与微观视角进行，前者注重原则性和归纳性研究，后者注重研究语句内成分的语义判断规律。就宏观视角而言，本文以会话含义理论和关联理论为基础，剖析非规约性间接言语行为的理解机制。基于会话含义理论的语用推理，优先考虑非规约性间接言语行为与合作原则的关系，其推理“步骤和“策略”以是否违反其中的某一准则为依据，对会话含义进行推理。以关联理论为基础的语用推理充分考虑了话语的关联性，从听话人的角度出发，运用各种演绎推理规则，推导出最为相关的含义。可以说，这两种推理机制分别从“合作”和“关联”的宏观视角对非规约性间接言语行为进行了有效的分析，并弥补了传统的宏观推理机制在会话含义推导方面实践意义不足的缺点。然而这两种宏观推理机制均存在一定缺陷。基于会话含义理论的推理忽略了关联的重要性，因为只有整个话语的关联性才是语用推理得以进行的有效保证；而基于关联理论的语用推理忽略了推理过程中主观性假设的补充以及缺省推理的运用。所以，对非规约性间接言语行为的推理还需从微观视角作不同的补充，从而完善整个推理机制。就微观视角而言，本文将逆证推理和缺省推理两种推理手段运用于非规约性间接言语行为理解机制的分析中。逆证推理以逆向审视的方法，以某类非规约性间接言语行为( 假设为q ) 为切入点开始思维，把若干个假设( 假设为p ) 能解释q 的现象当成启动思路，从q 反推出“p q ”。缺省推理是在缺少前提，隐含知识以及策略的情况下，结合语境因素，把看似不相关的事实和概念运用各种逻辑推理手段拉到相关的位置上，从而推导出相应的会话含义。这两种推理方法从微观角度对非规约性间接言语行为的推理过程进行了描述与分析，它们是宏观推理机制的有益补充。但此类推理手段的单独运用也具有某种片面性。比如逆证推理忽略了缺省知识在其运用过程中的必要性，而缺省推理也未提及其推理过程的评估依据是逆证推理和关联原则。基于以上论述可发现，对非规约性间接言语行为有效、全面的推理并不是以某一单独的推理机制为基础，它必然是一个综合运用不同推理理论和模式，使其沿着不同轨道而到达相同契合点的过程。所以在运用前面四种机制对非规约性间接言语行为进行对比分析之后，受l o u i s ec u m m i n s 合成推理和蒋勇复合空间理论的启发，本文用一个新的推理机制“空间整合推理机制”对该言语行为进行分析。该机制从理论基础、构成要素、推理特性和推理步骤上都对之前的推理机制进行了有效的整合和发展。首先，“空间整合推理机制”不局限于以某一单一的推理理论为基础，它从多学科视角对各种语用理论加以综合和运用。其次在构成上，“空间整合推理机制 包含三个推理空间：显性输入空间、隐i 生输入空间和复合空间，而除显性输入空间之外的其他两个空间都可以充分考虑认知语境、背景知识、语用理论和推理手段等因素，从而对非规约性间接言语行为进行全面、有效的推理。再次，“空间整合推理 是一个反复选择和验证的过程。上一推理阶段的结论可以被看作是下一推理阶段的假设，而且这种过程可以反复进行，从而优化选择直至选出最恰当的假设。最后，“空间整合推理机制”将非规约性间接言语行为的推理过程概括为“初次组合”和“完善扩展 阶段，这两个阶段分别对应于在显性输入空间，隐性输入空间和复合空间内进行推理，从而使整个推理过程清楚明了。总之，新的“空间整合推理机制 至力于将多种推理机制灵活地运用于对非规约性间接言语行为的推理分析中，从而对该言语行为进行全面有效和更有力的分析。关键词：非规约性；间接言语行为；宏观推理机制；微观推理机制；空间整合推理机制a b s t r a c ts e a r l e ( 19 7 5 ) c l a s s i f i e di n d i r e c ts p e e c ha c t si n t ot w ot y p e s ：c o n v e n t i o n a li n d i r e c ts p e e c ha c t sa n dn o n -
