摘要 近二十年来 体裁和体裁分析成了语言研究领域的热门话题 对 各类语篇进行体裁分析的研究层出不穷 其中对学术论文的体裁分析 尤为突出 但以往的研究多集中在论文的其它部分 例如 摘要 引 言和讨论部分 而对作为实证论文重要组成部分的方法部分研究甚 少 其英汉对比研究更为少见 虽然英汉同一体裁的语篇应该具有类 似的语篇结构特点 然而特定的语篇结构也会受到某些社会或文化因 素的制约 本文旨在分析属于同一学科 在此是 应用语言学 并且属于 同一体裁 在此是 学术期刊实证性论文 的英汉论文方法部分的异 同 并试图阐释英汉语篇结构差异背后的社会文化因素 所进行的对 比分析主要针对英汉学术论文方法部分的语步结构及主要特征 字系 特征和引用特征 首先 通过随机抽样 获得国际国内权威应用语言学杂志中共 6 0 篇论文作为样本 其中 英语3 0 篇样本为英美作者所写 汉语3 0 篇论文由中国作者所写 然后 采用s w a l e s 学派体裁分析理论的语 步 步骤双层分析法 结合运用统计学方法 进行具体的对比分析 研究结果表明 英汉方法部分既有差异性也有相似性 主要表现 在以下三方面 1 在字系特征方面 就平均数而言 英语论文全文的总词数 和方法部分的总词数都是相应的汉语论文全文和方法部分总字数的 1 5 倍 英汉样本中 方法部分占全文的百分数没有显著差异 这说 明英汉作者在实证性论文写作中给予方法部分同样的重视 2 在语步结构方面 英汉论文方法部分没有明显的差别 但在 实现某些语步的步骤上有较大的不同 就语步一 相关信息 而言 英文方法部分较多地使用步骤二 介绍研究背景 而中文方法部分 主要采用步骤一 提出问题或假设 另外 与中文方法部分相比 英文方法部分中语步三 描述变量测量过程 和语步四 描述数据分 析过程 中的论证步骤出现频率相对较高 这说明在方法部分的写作 中 英文作者比中文作者更加重视推理求证 3 在引用特征方面 英汉论文方法部分在引文的出现频率上 存在显著差异 英文作者更多地使用引文 也更多地指明出处 相反 中国作者常常忽略或省略引文 显然 中文作者在方法部分的写作中 不太重视引文 英汉应用语言学论文方法部分写作模式的不同之处反映了英汉 学者写作习惯上的不同 文化和社会因素影响了篇章的形成 本研究
