over.most of them will seldom ever read another non-fiction book, therefore missing out on one of the greatest resources for boosting(推进) their career goals.they dont realize that reading and constant learning will keep them mentally alert(警觉的) and younger, their memory will improve, theyll be more decisive, smarter and quicker.in short, constant learning is considered one of the most important success skills.and reading books about a specific subject that is of interest to you regarding your career can give you an added bonus!when you study and learn more about a favourite topic you give your confidence a boost.you can very quickly become an authority in the field.another tip is to try to read material written by someone with hands-on experience in the field, rather than just theory.the same thing goes for seminars or courses.the person who has hands-on experience has a lot more to offer you.by now youre probably saying “but i just dont have the time to read any books!”well, one way would be to reduce the amount of time you spend reading the newspaper or watching tv.or you could get up a half hour earlier each day to read undisturbed and,as brian tracy says,“milk the golden hour”.but by far the most powerful way of finding the time to learn is making your car your “college on wheels”.we all know that we spend thousands of hours a year driving to and from work.most people will listen to the radio.but what if you took this time to listen to books on tape?or what if you listened to tapes on your subjects of interest by experts in the field?by the end of the year you could have the equivalent(对等物) of 2 college terms!another added bonus of listening to tapes in your car is that the stress of the drive will decrease and youll actually arrive feeling more refreshed and relaxed.careful though, you can become addicted to this successful habit!so start now.its never too late to study!4.according to the author, after graduation most people .a.dont know their career goalsb.want to attain further educationc.rarely read books containing factsd.seldom read novels or other books5.what is paragraph 2 mainly about?a.some reading skills.b.the importance of goals.c.why time for readingd.explain how to develop ones interests7.what is the best way of making time to read?a.staying up late into the night.b.getting up half an hour earlier.c.using the time when youre driving.d.decreasing the time spent watching tv.七选五阅读(2016兰州高三实战)we all,at one time or another, have pretended to be a rock star, singing and dancing along to our favourite song.most of us have done this in the privacy of our own rooms when we were kids and as adults,in the privacy of our homes.1!i turn on the radio, find a song that i can sing along and pretty soon my arms are in the air and i am moving along to the rhythm.most of the time,i do this on my way to work.yes, that is true.i will be in my nice work clothes, jamming while driving or stopping at a traffic light.2.personally,i love to get lost in the rhythm of a song which leads me to share with you the importance of being silly!the definition of the word silly, according to the dictionary,is:stupid, foolish and nonsensical.3.so they walk around all seriously, which in all honesty is foolish!no one is perfect;i repeat:no one is perfect.i dont care how educated, how thin, how beautiful, how simple, how frugal, how rich, and so on.no one is perfect!4?life is so short.you never know when this beautiful journey will be over,so why waste a single second on being so full of rigidity(刻板)?here is a quote, which i think says it all and is a great recipe for life:“dance as though no one is watching you.love as though you have never been hurt before.”5,and we had no care in the world so we could do things without worrying about how we appeared to others.however,as we grew up,we lost that childlike innocence.what a pity!a.are adults the most foolish group of peopleb.so why pretend to be something you are notc.i know many people do not want to look foolishd.i get weird looks from some people and others laughe.when we were kids,we had no idea of what limitations weref.i sing my favourite, and sometimes i forgot the traffic lightsg.me?i love to do that when i drive.短文改错(2016广州毕业班综合检测二)the old saying “the early bird catches the worm” show us the importance of planning, working hard and trying constant.to achieve outstanding results, the most people must plan ahead and work diligently to overcome all kind of difficulties.that has been my own experience, either.when i first started at high school,i seldom passed my exams,so i never prepared well.later,my teacher,mr.black, advised me plan everything in advance.she asked me to study hard as well.after a year of putting his advice onto practice,i can now easily pass all my exams.there are no shortcuts to succeed.导学号92550056#考点规范练18(必修4unit 3).【解题导语】本文是应用文。文章是一家连锁商店关于退换商品的条款。1.c细节理解题。根据第一项条款中的“if you bought your product in one of our stores and have now
