Lead inLeading in 【情景1】Warm up.Brainstorm. Think about as many Chinese festivals as possible. Then let the students talk about what they do during the festivals.S1: The Spring Festival.T: What do you do during the Spring Festival?S1: I often play with my friends.S2: I often eat much delicious food.S3: I buy new clothes.S4: I visit my friends and family.S5: I play cards with my friends.Leading in 【情景2】Guessing games. Ask one student to act out,the others guess what the festival is.S1: What festival is it?S2: Is it National Day?S1: Yes.How do you know it?S2: You are watching the flag rising.S1: Yes, you are right.Now look at me. What am I doing?S3: Are you boating?S1: Yes.What festival is it?S3: Its Dragon Boat Festival.Step 2. Presentation1. Show the students pictures and learn the new words and expressions in this partT: When it is your birthday, what will I give you?Ss: A present.T: Yes. Now read after me:present.Ss: Present.T: What festival is on October 1?Ss: Its National Day.T: Yes. Now read after me:National Day.Ss: National Day.2. Ask the students to make sentences with the new words and phrases.T: Try to make sentences with the new words and phrases.S1: I usually go mountain climbing during the festivals.S2: My parents usually take me to watch a movie during the National Day.S3: On Teachers Day,we usually give teachers cards.S4: Would you like to go shopping with me during the Spring Festival?S5: Sure.Id love to.Step 3. Listening1. Listen to Part 2 and answer the following questions.(1) When does Li Mings family like to watch a movie?(2) Who like to go to the zoo on Childrens Day?(3) When do they like to go mountain climbing?【Keys】(1) On New Years Day.(2) Li Mings little brother and sister.(3) On National Day.2. Listen to the conversation and ask the students to imitate it.The students should pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.Step 4. Reading1. Read the first part and answer the questions:(1) What is Li Ming doing?(2) Which Chinese holidays does he mention in his report?2. Ask the students to read the passage.T: Now lets read the passage. At the same time,pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.3. Ask some students to read aloud in class.T: Now lets see who can read the best.4. Read and find the key points.The following language points should be explained.Step 5. Practice1. Retell the story. Ask the students to retell the text. Ask a few students to try in class.2.
