he had a pleasant countenance, and easy, unaffected manners.(P11,2)宾利先生仪表堂堂,风度翩翩;他满面春风,讨人喜欢,潇洒自然,毫不做作。Compliments always take you by surprise, and me never.(P18,2)别人的赞誉总让你受宠若惊,我则从来不会。And with more quickness of temper than her sister, and with a judgment too unassailed by any attention to herself, was very little disposed to approve them.(P19,2)她比姐姐的观察力来得敏锐,性情也不像姐姐那样随与,而且他更有主见,绝不因为人家待她好就改变主张,因为她对宾家姐妹不会有多大的好感。Between him and Darcy there was a very steady friendship, in spite of a great opposition of character.(P20,2)虽然宾利与达西两人性格迥异,但他们之间一直保持着良好的友谊-尽管他们俩的性格简直是极端相反。Occupied in observing Mr. Bingleys attention to her sister, Elizabeth was far from suspecting that she was herself becoming an object of some interest in the eyes of his friend.(P29,2)伊丽莎白只顾得注意宾利先生对她姐姐的殷勤,却完全没有想到自己竟入了宾利那位朋友的眼。He began to wish to know more of her, and as a step towards conversing with her himself, attended to her conversation with others.(P29)达西开始想对她多些了解,为了想跟她亲自攀谈攀谈,他就留神去听她跟别人的谈话。My dear miss Elizabeth, I have the highest opinion in the world of your excellent judgment in all matters within the scope of your understanding, but permit me to say that there must be a wide difference between the established form of ceremony amongst the laity, and those which regulate the clergy. The expression of his face changed gradually from indignant contempt to a composed and steady gravity. Her daughters listened in silence to this effusion, sensible that any attempt to reason with or sooth her would only increase the irritation. She sometimes with real earnestness and sometimes with playful gaiety, replied to herb attacks. Though her manner varied, however, her determination never did. Hope was over, entirely over; and when Jane could attend to the rest of the letter, she found little, except the professed affection of the writer, that could give her any comfort. Her air was not conciliating, nor was her manner of receiving then such as to take her visitors forget their inferior rank. Though I am not certain that I consider her marrying Mr. Collins as the wisest thing she ever did. She seems perfectly happy, however, and in a prudential light, it is certainly a very good match for her. There is a stubbornness about me that never can bear to be frightened at the will of others. My courage always rises with every attempt to intimidate me.(P225)我性子倔强,决不肯让别人把我吓倒。 . of conversing easily with those I have never seen before. I cannot catch their tone of conversation, or appear interested in their concerns, as I often see done.(P228)我的确不象人家那样有本领,遇到向来不认识的人也能任情谈笑。 I do not mean to say that a woman may not be settled too near her family. The far and the near must be relative, and depend on many varying circumstances. Where there is fortune to make the expanse of travelling unimportant, distance becomes no evil. But that is not the case here.(P232) Her understanding excellent, her mind improved, and her manners captivating.(P242) Why, with so evident a design of offending and insulting me, you chose to tell me that you liked me against your will, against your reason, and even against your character? Was not this some excuse for incivility, if I was uncivil?(P247)为什么你明明白白存心要触犯我,侮辱我,嘴上 却偏偏要说什么为了喜欢我,意违背了你自己的意志,违背了你自己的理性,甚至违背了你 自己的性格? Astonishment, apprehension, and even horror, oppressed her.(P265) But every line proved more clearly that the affair, which she had believed it impossible that any contrivance could so represent as to render Mr. Darcys conduct in it less than infamous, was capable of a turn which must make him entirely blameless throughout the whole.(P266)她本以为这件事任凭达西先生怎样花言巧语,颠倒是 非,也丝毫不能减轻他自己的卑鄙无耻,哪里想得到这里面大有文章可做,只要把事情改变 一下说法,达西先生就可以把责任推卸得一干二净。Reflection must be reserved for solitary hours; whenever she was alone, she gave way to it as the greatest relief; and not a day went by without a solitary walk, in which she might indulge in all the delight of unpleasant recollections. I am sure there is not on his. I will answer for it he never cared three straws about her. Who could about such a nasty little freckled thing? One may be continually abusive without saying any thing just; but one cannot be always laughing at a man without now and then stumbling on something witty.(P291)例如,你不断地骂人,当然说不出一句好话;你要 是常常取笑人,倒很可能偶然想到一句妙语。There certainly was some great mismanagement in the education of those two young men. One has got all the goodness, and the other all the appearance of it. This is not the sort of happiness which a man would in general wish to owe to his wife; but where other powers of entertainment are wanting, the true philosopher will derive benefit from such as are given.(P307 )一般男人照理总不希望在妻子身上找这一种乐 趣,可是大智大慧的人既然没有本领去找别的玩艺儿,当然只好听天由命。Every disposition of the ground was good; and she looked on the whole scene - the river, the trees scattered on its banks, and the winding of the valley, as far as she could trace it - with delight.(P314)她纵目四 望,只见一弯河道,林木夹岸,山谷蜿蜒曲折,真看得她心旷神怡。 As for her eyes, which have sometimes been called so fine, I never could perceive any thing extraordinary in them. They have a sharp, shrewish look, which I do not like at all; and in her air altogether, there is a self-sufficiency without fashion which is intolerable. Part 3:Background of Austen“Jane Austen (1775-1717) was born in Hampshire, a country priest family located in Hants, the village of Kingston, Sidemen in north England. She was a beautiful, talented and middle class woman with extraordinary temperament and good cultivation. Her six novels-Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey, Manshifeierde manor, Emma, Persuasion all describe more than marriage.”However, her marriage is like a blank paper in her 42 years real lifetime. When she was 26, she accepted a proposal by a man much younger and richer than her. But she declined him next day because she knew she did not love the man. She remained single all her life after that.Part 4:Background of Pride and Prejudice In this book, the author amply demonstrates her point about money and marriage. For that, to analyze these points of views, it is necessary for us firstly started from her great work. At that time, according to the social condition in Britain, a good marriage for a young woman was critical. This phenomenon was closely associated with the British society and the status of the status of women in the society. In the 19th century, women were not well respected compared with the ones in the present society. There was on equality between women and men. The main life of women was forced to be staying at home, their roles were to deal with the family affairs, taking care of children and serving for their husband. Patient and deferent were the virtues of women. At that time, there were three solutions for middle-class young women: getting married, staying at home as old maids or working as the family female teachers. Since the income and status of family female teacher was very low and on one would like to be a maid forever, therefore, in terms of young women, especially those who were not rich, to get married was the only way for them to gain respect, stability and poi status.Part 5:ImpressionHaving read pride and prejudice, the most intensive impression in my heart is how to be a cultivated woman.Being a masterpiece of British writer Jane Austin, pride and prejudice had described the emotional imbroglios between arrogance single young Darcy and prejudice lady Elizabeth, wealthy single Bingley and virtuous girl Jane.Although heroine Elizabeth was not as beautiful as her sister Jane was, her charming eyes were attracting and wit, smart and vibrant. All the signs implied that she would be a brave, visionary, and analytical typical. Moreover, she was also a rebel spirit. With her wit and superior spirit realm, she struggled against the rank and fashion who despised her life. In real life, we are also intimidated by those imposing manner, thus lost ourselves being swayed by others.Bennett couples had only five daughters but no son. As a result, a male distant relative heir, Mr. Collins is going to succeed their property. Only one thousand pounds per daughter could inherit. So their future superior life would become a problem. While Darcy was born in noble multimillionaire, having a huge mansion, more than 10,000 pounds on the net every year, and then to figure, so beautiful, therefore was very arrogant. Then he found Elizabeth actually very beautiful alert intelligence, elegant, cheerful and lively, and he fall in love with her. But he thought the Bennetts was poor, although her father was a gentleman, but not the aristocrat. Her mother and sister several specked vulgarly, and the relatives were born low status, so Mr. Darcy wasnt willing t
