Color we see ASelf-introduction. Analysis of the teaching materialThis chapter includes four part, Ill finish the part in four lessons. This is the first period . In chapter 5, We have learned these words : desk,door,chair ,window,wall and the sentence:Is it a ? In this chapter we will learn how to talk about the colours of the things in English. II. Teaching aims1 .Aims on the knowledgea. To enable the Ss to listen, read and speak these words: red , pink , yellow , green, blue , brown, black and white.b. To enable the Ss to talk about the colours of diffrent things in English.2. Aims on the abilitiesa.To improve Ss abilities of listening,speaking,reading and painting.b.To train the Ss ability of working in groups.c.To foster Ss abilities of communication. 3.Aims on the emotiona.Improve the students interest in learning Englishb.To foster Ss consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.c. To lead Ss to enjoy the beauty of the colours , describe the colourful things, cherish the life.Key and difficult points:The Key points are reading the words correctly and describing the colours of the things. The difficult ponits are the pronunciation of green and brown . Teaching methods and study methods1. Teaching methodsCommunicative teaching method (交际法)Audio-visual teaching method (视听法) “Task-based” teaching method(任务型教学法)2. Study methodsActivity-based learning(individual work; pair work; group work; class work) Teaching aids CAI , recorder, tape, colour pens, school things and so on. Teaching stepsStep1 Warm up 1. Do the actions2.Free talkStep 2 Presentation1. lead-in. Sing a song.2. Teach the words “ red , pink, yellow, green and blue”3. Teach the words “ brown,white and black”.4. After the students have learnt all the words. Ill play the tape and let the students complete the listening practice of page 64 part AStep 3 Practice1. Practice in pairs. 2. Who has a good memory.3. Play a guessing game. practice these sentences:The bed is red .The chairs are brown.Step4 Consolidation.1.Practice the pronunciation of green and brown2.Put the colour pictures under the right words3.Make a chant.Step5 Extension1.Find out the difference between colour and color2.Ask the students to draw a picture and colour it in group . They can choose one of them to put up the picture on the blackboard wherever they like and describe the colours of the picture (orange means 橙色. purple means 紫色)Step6 HomeworkStep7 Blackboard design The ideas of teaching design.I think the general aim of English teaching in Grade 3 is to inspire students interest. And Ill use this to guide my teaching. During my teaching,Ill try my best to get my class alive and encourage the students to talk with each other in English. I think if I want to improve the students oral English, I should give them enough chances to practice and I will use pair work,group work to let the students take an active part in all kinds of activ
