Ss can listen, read and understand the dialogue of Lets talk. 5. Ss can ask and answer about their teachers characters.Emphasis and difficult points:1. Ss can act out the dialogue and try to recite it.2. Ss can use the target language well. 3. Teaching aids: PPT, some pictures, some cards, tape, recorderStepsSuggestionsStep 1 Warm-up and revision1. Enjoy a song: “Who is your teacher?”2. Lets chant. Tall, tall, he is tall. Short,short, she is short.-3. Guessing game.Show a pictrue with two fruit trees and let the students know the fruits are different. They are magic fruits. They will change into different letters. 4. Help the students to know four letters will show our different words. Let the students guess what they are.通过歌曲导入,让学生了解本节课的教学与他们的教师有关系。通过chant,让学生复现和本单元描述有关的tall short,big,small等以果树来开启教学似乎有点脱离主要话题。但是对于小学学生来说需要点感官上的刺激,能激起他们的好奇心。Step2 Presentation and Practice 11. Help the students to know four letters will show our our different words. Let the students guess what they are.n-name ,o-old, s-student , f-friendThen show a picture of Wu Yifan and get the students to describe him with the words above.For example: Look at the boy. His name is Wu Yifan. He is 10 years old. He is a student. He has a new friend. His friend is friendly.2. Teach “Oliver” in the same way.3. Lets try.4. Show a picture of Mr Young is playing the piano. Wu Yifan and Oliver are talking. Wu Yifan: Do you know Mr. Young?Oliver: No. I dont. Who is he ?Wu Yifan: He is our music teacher.5. Ss practice in pair.Wu Yifan: Do you know Mr. Young?Oliver: No. I dont. Who is he ?Wu Yifan: He is our music teacher.通过给字母让学生说单词的形式,能帮助学生巩固已有的词汇,并且希望能培养学生横向联系的能力,希望他们在猜的过程中不要天马行空。请学生描述前最好先小组讨论,让更多的学生能真正参与课堂教学,几位学生展示后出示范文,同时教学friendly自然而有效。交代了Oliver是一个新同学,所以不知道这里的老师情况,到Lets try比较自然。Lets try Wu Yifan 和Oliver了解了一位老师后,WuYif想再介绍一位老师,于是自然问起Do you know Mr Young?两人一组的对话练习有助于巩固本课的重点句型:Who is he ?及难点发音know ,ourStep 3 Presentation and Practice 21.
