摘要 语言借用是接触语言学的重要组成部分 近些年来也越来越受到重视 在汉语的 语言借用现象中 就借用源头而言 源自英语的借用无疑最为广泛 而就借用内容而 言 词汇借用 借词 则处于语言 借用领域的中心位置 汉语和英语属于两个不同的 语系 两者之间发生的借词行为大多经历了翻译处理 这也就意味着 若与源语中的 原形 s o u r c ef o r m 相比 借词在目的语中多是以一种修改形式而存在 这类修改处理 一般通过两种方法来实现 一种是对原形的发音进行模仿 另一种是对原形的书写进 行逐字翻译 这种分类法似乎过于简单 本篇学位论文的一大目标是 基于借用处理 方法对英汉借词进行系统化分类与表述 在对借词的翻译处理过程中 有人强调了归化 d o m e s t i c a t i o n 的重要性 也有人认 为异化 f o r e i g n i s a t i o n 更为关键 在本文作者看来 这两种对立趋势之间应该有所平 衡 在既有文献中 鲜有文章将两者统一于同一模式 即把两者结合起来对同一案例 进行表述分析 本文依据语言借用本地化的程度深浅 尝试性地将借词类别进行线性 升序排列 如果用生物学的进化发展加以类比 这一线性结构可被视为英汉借词的进 化轨迹 同时代表了英汉借词的两个发展趋势 归化与异化 也就是说 一个借词 有可能被进一步本地化 从而向更高级别发展
