单元(章)主题unit 13 rainy days make me sad.任课教师与班级 初三本课(节)课题period 5: reading第 5 课时 / 共 5 课时教学目标(含重点、难点)及设置依据一、teaching aims:ability aim: talk about the feeling on receiving different gifts.knowledge aim: to master the patter of sentences: “make+sb+adjective” and “makeinfinitiv+sb+e”. learn to use suitable adj.moral aim: in our lives, we should express what we feel clearly.二、key points: after study this lesson, students should be able to:1. use some new words: home-made, schoolbag, purple, guilty, taste, saying, thought, count2. use the following sentences:if my best friend give me a history book, i would feelreceiving a new schoolbag would make me feeli prefer to receive a gift that has some thought behind it.i dont mind its something i dont need.三、teaching difficulties:how to help students to express their opinion freelylearn the expression about “make”.教学准备a recorder 教 学 过 程内容与环节预设个人二度备课课后反思四、teaching steps:step1. lead-in:t: in this september, you will be high school students. its a big step in your lives. would you like to get some gifts to celebrate it?ss: yes.初三学生面临着中考,面临着毕业。毕业礼物是与他们自身相关的一个问题,也是他们非常关心的一个问题。这个话题能够马上使学生集中注意力,活跃课堂氛围。同时也能使新课顺利导入。step2. game “tell the truth”t: now lets play a game “tell the truth” in pairs. its about gifts. you are supposed to answer the questions without chating.hand out the questions.1. you got a gift that you dont want from your parents on your birthday.2. your grandparents gave you some money on your birthday.get ss to ask and answer in turns according to the questions.t: ( after the game.) what do you think of receiving gifts?s1: it makes me happy and excited.s2: sometimes it makes me embarrassed设计的问题要有不同的倾向性,并将他们分别归类分发,以保证同一小组的两人回答同一倾向性的话题。学生会有机会展示不同的观点,观点的碰撞能强烈激起学生的求知欲。step3. reading:t: please read the passage and find out what the writer thinks of receiving gifts.s1: (after reading.) the writer thinks that receiving a gift can be difficult.t: yes. how many examples does the writer use to prove his opinion? read the passage again and find them out.s2: there are three. g uo xiaojings, han lins and john wilsons experiences about receiving gifts.t: good job. now please read passage carefully and finish the sentences in section 3a.check the answer with the class.t: thinking while reading is a good way to improve your reading skill. now read the passage again and find out which paragraph impresses you most and why.get ss to read it again. then ask them to answer the questions above.s3: paragraph 3 impresses me most because my grandparents are the same as han lings. they like to give me clothes as present. but they and i have the different tastes. i often feel guilty for i never wear the clothes they give to me.s4: paragraph 4 impresses me most because i learn a lot about the foreign cultures from it. they are new to me.通过一系列问题,不断让学生利用自己已经有的经验来独立解决。通过解决这些问题及自主学习来了解文章及掌握生词。step 4. practice:t: while reading, to make it your own is very important if you want to learn something effectively. please read the passage and underline the adjectives showing feeling. choose one of them to write about a time when you felt the same way.get ss to read the passage and underline the adjectives. then let them finish section 3b.get ss to share what they get in groups of four and discuss about it. then ask some ss to talk about their discussion.s1: in our group, jenny told us one of her unusual experiences. the other day, she had dinner with her parents in a restaurant. during the dinner, she followed a young lady before her to the bathroom without seeing the signs. she felt very embarrassed as she went into it. it was the mans room. the lady that she followed was exactly a young man with long hair.让学生根据自己已有的经验及主意来完成练习,而不是根据例子简单的模仿。step 5. discussion:t: imagine you have two classmates, tina and peter. write down some suggestions for giving each of them gifts, and choose the best gifts for them.get them to finish the chat in section b.t: four ss a group to share what you have got. and choose the best one to improve.after ss finish the discussion, get them to read out their plan.学生中的互动是十分重要的,通过对话能够使他们交流信息,纠正语法及句式上的错误,也更能促使他们积极思考,激励出智慧的火花。板书设计unit 13 rainy days m
