Lesson 21 Do you know who introduced basketball to China? 王素平 丰台区南苑中学 教学指导思想与理论依据 英语课程标准明确指出基础教育阶段英语课程的总目标是培养学生的综合语言运用能力。强调在有意义的、真实的语境中呈现和运用语言，注重对学生实际运用语言能力的培养。强调要以学生为主体，从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发。 初中英语教学的目的是培养学生的阅读策略和能力，学生能根据不同的阅读目的运用不同的阅读策略获取信息，在学习中积极思考，主动探究，从而达到思维能力和自主学习能力共同发展的目的。 心理学家William认为动机是认知和情感的激发，为了达到确定的目标，这种激发可促使人们有意识地采取一定的措施，在一段时间内从脑力上和体力上不断地付出努力。在教学中，教师设计生动有趣又具有较强目标性的任务，能够有效地提高学生的参与动机与成功动机，为学生提供了一个自我实现的平台，有利于学生积极参与到相关活动中，从而较好地完成教学任务。教学内容分析 本课处于初中第15册的第六单元，本单元的话题是“运动”，主要学习内容是过去完成时，过去将来时，宾语从句的意义和用法，以及运用这些语法描述有关人物和事件的方法。Lesson 21是本单元的第一课，是一个阅读语法课，本课围绕中国篮球的起源，发展和兴旺展开，使学生在了解中国篮球发展史的同时，对宾语从句这个语法项目有初步的了解，并为下面两课中过去完成时和过去将来时的学习奠定基础。学生情况分析 经过了两年多的初中学习，学生们已经掌握了基本的阅读策略和相应的词汇以及语言知识，具备了运用相应的阅读策略和方法获取信息、理解信息的能力。语法方面，在第13册书中，学生已经学习了状语从句的意义及用法，对复合句有了一定的了解。 较弱的基础使他们对于机械学习提不起兴趣，但对于感兴趣的活动，课上参与热情较高，因此教师要注意调动他们的参与兴趣，从而调动他们的学习积极性。教学目标1. 学生借助1.1的练习，复习、学习与篮球相关的词汇，并能够正确理解与朗读;。2. 学生阅读文段，通过连线，判断正误，回答问题获取有关中国篮球起源和发展的相关信息。3. 学生通过观察例句，理解句子意义，初步理解宾语从句的意义和用法。4. 学生能够小组合作，口、笔头准备本校即将召开的中国篮球情况的知识问答 比赛。5. 学生能够感受到中国篮球的发展并鼓励他们积极参与。教学重难点重点：学生通过阅读，以判断正误，连线，回答问题等方式获取有关中国篮球起 源和发展的相关信息。难点：小组合作，口、笔头准备校级中国篮球情况的知识问答比赛。流程图 Lesson21 Do you know who introduced basketball to China?教学过程教学环节教与学的活动设计意图Warm up4Step1学生根据已有知识回忆与篮球相关的词汇.学生观看图片，回答问题，导入本课话题。T:（教师出示图片）What are they doing?S: They are playing basketball.T：Do you like basketball?S: . dunk 扣篮 jump ball 跳球 pass 传球 jump shot 跳投T: What do we say in English when we describe the action?1.
