Unit8 Is there a post office near here?的教学设计 长岭县第一中学 刘 慧教材分析:学习如何用英语有礼貌地表达问路及描述路径的句式,以及如何用一些介词来描述建筑物及区域的位置,通过本课的学习能够自如地运用所学语言向他人介绍地点的方位及路径,本节课是本单元的第一课时,本节课学习了一些地点的英语单词,有些难度,但是,还需扩充一些生活常用的地点单词,来更广的拓宽会话的深度及广度,进一步培养助人为乐的良好美德。学情分析:学习者是七年级的13、14岁的青少年,活泼好动,热情助人,好奇心很强,兴趣盎然地投入英语学习环境,同时,在上学期已经学过where引导的特殊疑问句,基础英语有一定的熟练,本节课教学中,学生们在“玩”中学,轻轻松松地完成五个学习任务。教学目标:Teaching aimsKnowledge aims1. Master the four-word words: supermarket, park, restaurant, post office, pay phone ,center, bridge, mail, next to , between, across form, behind, in front of, near.2. Master the drills and use them to ask the wayIs there a bank near here? - Yes, there is a bank on Center Street. Where is the supermarket? -Its next to the bank. Use correctly the prepositions to describe the direction of the buildings.Ability aims1. Use the sentences to ask for and give directions on the street freely.2. Learn to use the prepositions to describe the direction.Emotion aimsBe able to show the directions of the locations and help others who are lost.重 点:Teaching key pointsMemorize the words of the locations重点解决措施:教师举例验证,引导学生建立概念,学生能运用自如。难 点:Teaching difficult pointsMaster the sentences about asking for and giving the directions难点解决措施:教师举例验证,运用学生的好奇心里,在竞猜游戏中加强对新句型的综合运用,突破难点。教学方法:情景教学法,任务型语言教学法,趣味教学法。教学手段:1.适当合理运用课件。2.倾听歌曲。3.竞猜游戏。教学设计思路:在本节课中,按以下七个环节展开1. 创设情境,引发动机。通过听唱英文歌曲Little Love激发学生的英语学习兴趣,并唤起爱心体验。2. 利用头脑风暴法,调动学生的竞争意识。3. 教师运用自身的教学资源引入新知,并协同多媒体课件创设逼真地语言情景。4. 利用竞猜游戏,吸引学生的注意力;利用情景教学法,任务型语言教学法引导学生学习生词和句型,进入会话情景,操练重点词汇及句式。5. 围绕新知进行听力操练及通过自编对话加强对语言的综合运用。6. 把总结的权利放给学生,培养学生的归纳的思维能力,加强学法的指导。7. 利用课后作业,巩固本课所学,拓展多方知识,为下一节新课做了铺垫。依据的理论 :突出学生主体,尊重个体差异;注重过程评价,促进学生发展;采用活动途径,倡导体验参与的教育新理念。教学设计过程Teaching steps: Period 1: (To teach Section A 1a-2c)Step One: Organization Listen to the English song Little Love and sing it along with the music. Step Two: Revision1: Brainstorming. Let Ss try to say out more places, such as school, home, hotel, farm, bookstore, shop and so on. Then T shows a map to the class, let Ss know other places.2: Talk-free (Review the preposition that the students have learned.)T can say: My friend Gina has a problem today. She cant find her English book. Can you help her?S1: Yes. (Guess time)T: Where is her English book?S1: Its on the desk?T: No, it isnt. Who can guess again?S2: Is it under her chair?T: No, you are wrong.S3: Maybe it is in her schoolbag.T: Yes, its in her schoolbag. Thank you. Gina can find her things now. Step Three: Leading-in T can say: There is a supermarket near my house. There are many kinds of goods in it. Its convenient to buy some things. (T can ask S1) T: Excuse me. Is this the supermarket near your home? S1: Yes, there is. / No, there isnt.(T can ask some Ss one by one.) Next T shows one map of the neighborhood of his/her house and say: T: Now look at the map, heres my house. My home is in the Garden District. These buildings are near the district. Look here! What place is it? Ss: It is a hotel.Step Four: Presentation (To learn new words of the places and prepositions, finish 1a)Task one: To learn new words of the placesChallenge your memory (A game) 1. T can use the screen or the flashcards to show the new words. T asks Ss read them after him/her. 2. T shows some pictures of the places quickly and asks Ss to try to memorize them in a short time. (Maybe only one minute) 3. Ask some Ss to say them out. 4. Finish Section A 1a.Task Two: To learn new words of some prepositions1. T can ask two students to the front of the classroom, T stands in the middle of them. T can use the new prepositions to describe their situations. T can say like that: T: Please look at us three, I am standing in the middle of them, we can say “I am standing between them two.” So we know the word between means “在两者之间”T can continue describing the other prepositions in the same way to teach them. 2. T asks Ss to describe their situations in groups. 3. Some groups act out their situations in the front of the classroom. 4. T shows the pictures in Section A 2a to the Ss, asks Ss to work in pairs to Practice them.Step Five: Practice (To finish Section A 1b,2a and 2b)Task Three: To finish Section A 1b1. Ss say the name of each one on Page 7 to the class and write the words of locations 2. T plays the recordings of three dialogues twice, Ss can draw the map of these places. 3. T plays the recordings for the third time, Ss finish 1b. 4. Check the answers.Task Four: To finish Section A 2a and 2b1. T asks Ss to read the information in 2a and 2b.2. T plays the recordings twice and Ss match the sentences with the pictures in 2a.3. Check the answers.4. Ss translate the new prepositions into Chinese.5. T plays the recordings for the third time.6. Check the answers.Task Five: To practice the target language (There be.,the words of the places, the prepositions)Describe a place (A guessing game)1. T can show the sentences Ss should use on the screen or the board. 2. T asks Ss to work in groups and all the members of each group describe one place they choose. One student must say and write one sentence. 3. Every member of every group can say one sentence to take turns to read their descriptions to the class, other students try to guess what place they describe. 4. Give the answerStep Six: SummaryLet some students sum up the points in the lesson. Then T or other students may add.Step Seven: Homework (To choose two or three)1. Copy the new words and the important drills three times.2. Draw a map of your ideal neighborhood and take a short note to be ready for the next lesson.3. T can arrange two groups of Ss to make up their own pl
