八年级（上）units 7到9重难点精讲考点一 turn on the blender.打开搅拌器。（u7p41） 【用法归纳】辨析turn on, turn off, turn up与turn down（2013年河池36题考查） turn on“打开（电器等）” turn off“关掉（电器等）” turn up“开大，调高（音量）” turn down“关小，调低（音量）” 如: miss wang walked into the room and turned on the light.王小姐走进房间,打开了灯。 he turned on the computer and got online.他打开电脑上网。 注意：on, off, up, down这四个词都是副词，在使用过程中，当宾语为代词时，只能置于动词和副词之间；当宾语为名词时，既可置于动词和副词之间，也可置于副词之后。 如： turn it on. 打开它。 turn the gas off.等于turn off the gas. 把煤气关了。考点二 at the end of the day, the science teacher was very happy because the class monitor cleaned the bus after the trip. 在那天结束时，科学老师很高兴，因为班长在旅行后把车打扫干净了。（u8p49） 【用法归纳】辨析at the end of, by the end of与in the end at the end of “在什么末或者底”，既可接时间，也可接地点名词。反义短语：at the beginning of “在什么初或者起点”。 by the end of “到什么末或者底为止”，常用于将来时或过去完成时。 in the end等于at last等于finally “最后”，常用于一般过去时。如： the whole school meet together at the beginning of each term. 每学期伊始全校师生齐聚一堂。 by the end of last century, the population of our city had reached one million and by the end of the year twenty twenty , it will be over one point five million.到上世纪末我市人口已达100万，到2020年底（我市人口）将突破150万。考点三 class nine had a great time on the school trip.在此次学校旅行中，九班的同学玩得很愉快。（u8p49） 【用法归纳】have a great time的用法 have a great time意为“过得愉快”，可以单独使用，常用的结构有have a great time with something, have a great time doing something。如： we had a great time singing last night.我们昨天去唱歌，玩得很愉快。 【知识拓展】 表示“玩得愉快”的同义短语: have a good time等于have a nice time等于have a beautiful time等于have a wonderful time 如： we will have a wonderful time in the camp today.我们今天的露营将会很愉快。 have fun意为“玩得愉快”，后跟动名词形式。如： i had fun shopping with my best friend yesterday.昨天跟好友逛街，很愉快。 enjoy oneself意为“玩得愉快”。如： enjoy yourselves in the club.在这个社团中，玩得愉快。考点四 how long did he hiccup？他打嗝有多久了？ he hiccupped for sixty-nine years and five months. 他打嗝69年5个月了.（u9p54） 【用法归纳】辨析 how long与how soon（2013年钦州30题考查;2013年崇左32题考查） how long的意思是“有多久”，用来提问有多长时间，答语通常是more than two weeks等表示一段时间的短语。如： how long did he live in china？他在中国住了多长时间？ more than two years.两年多。 how soon用来询问“需要多长时间能怎么样，过多久”，谓语动词多用终止性动词，即某一动作要花多长时间才能完成或发生，常与将来时连用，答语常用in a week，in a month，in a year等。如： how soon can you finish the work？你完成那项工作还要多久? maybe in three days.可能在3天后。考点五 you are never too young to start doing things.活到老，学到老。（u9p55） 【用法归纳】too to的用法（2013年北海36题考查） too to意为“太怎么样而不能怎么样”，表示否定意义，too为副词，后接形容词或副词的原级，to 后接动词原形。如： the child is too young to go to school.这个孩子太小而不能上学。 在“too加上形容词或者副词加上for somebody加 to do”句型中，“for somebody”作动词不定式的逻辑主语，起到一定限制作用（即：不定式所表动作只是对其逻辑主 语而言是这样）。如： english is too difficult for me to learn well.英语太难，我学不好。（具体指出是我学不好） 注意：以上句型中，若句子主语和不定式宾语指同一事物，则宾语可省（反身代词除外）；同时，动词不定式也可以省去。如： 这个箱子太重。我搬不动。 误：this box is too heavy for me to carry it. 正：this box is too heavy for me to carry. 这辆汽车太贵，他买不起。 误：this car is too expensive for him to buy it. 正：this car is too expensive for him（to buy）. too什么to结构中的不定式的动词为不及物动词时，应在动词后加上适当的介词。如： that house is too dirty to live in. 那房子太脏了，没法住。 在too什么to结构中，当too与not或never连用时，或too后是easy, glad, pleased, ready等形容词时，too相当于very，表示肯定意义。如： she is too easy to get angry. 她很容易生气。 【知识拓展】 too什么to可以转化为so什么that和not什么enough to句式，但要注意not什么enough to中的形容词和too什么to中的形容词意义相反。如： he is so young that he cant take care of himself. 等于he is not old enough to take care of himself. 等于he is too young to take care of himself.他太小了不会照顾自己。考点六 li yundi took part in the 14th chopin international piano competition in poland.李云迪参加了在波兰举行的第十四届国际肖邦钢琴大赛。（u9p57） 【用法归纳】辨析take part in，join, join in与attend 四者都可以译成“参加”，但意义和用法有所区别。 take part in 表示参加某项活动、运动、事件等。如： a lot of college students took part in the movement.很多大学生都参加了那个活动。 join意为“加入某一组织，成为其中的一员”，join后面还可以接表示人的名词或代词，表示加入到某人或某些人的行列中去。如： my uncle joined the party in 1978. 我叔叔是1978年入党的。 join in 和take part in类似，表示“加入，参与某种活动”，in 之后可接名词或动名词。表示“参加某人的活动”，常用句型有join （somebody） in (doing) somethin
