It is a cheerful and lively song for people to celebrate festivals and holidays.（二） Telling Apart1. Help Ss practice the pronunciation of the phonetic sounds:/j/, /i/, /, /a/,/m/, /n/ and /2. Read the proverbs and sayings and practice the tongue twister.l Play the recording and ask Ss to read aloud. l Correct their pronunciation when necessary.l For more exercises, please see Optional exercises in Teachers Book.（三）Testing Your Ears1. Read new words, phrases and expressions. 2. Listening exercises: simple sentences and short conversations.3. Watch a video titled “Flag Day”, a day for all Americans to celebrate and honor their flag. It is celebrated on June 14 each year. l Explain each new word or phrase with examples which have presented in PPT.l When doing exercises, tell Ss to read the four choices in advance；pay attention to the importance of grammatical coherence.l Watch the Video and try to answer the following questions presented in PPT.（四）Opening Your Mouth1. Read new words, phrases and expressions.2. Reading exercises: 4 short conversations and 2 longer ones.3.
