ARM Embedded System Solution一、 System Composition System Composition二、 Hardware1、 CPUThe CPU is selected ATMELs AT91RM9200 with ARM920T core，which can achieve a high performance of 200 MIPS with the system clock 180MHz. AT91RM9200 operates at kernel voltage 1.8V, I/O voltage 3.3V and kernel current 30.4mA. When idle, the kernel current is only 3.1mA.2、 MemoryThe board memory consists of NOR FLASH, NAND FLASH , SDRAM and optional extended card. (1) NOR FLASHTake Intels 28F128 as NOR FLASH. 28F128 has a size of 16MB and a data width of 16 bits. The embedded os kernel is located on the NOR FLASH. (2) SDRAMThe board has two chips of SDRAM with 32MB single chip size and 16 bits data width. SAMSUNG compatible SDRAM can be used.(3) NAND FLASHSAMSUNG compatible NAND FLASH can be selected. The size is of choice from 64MB to 512MB. The NAND FLASH is used to store data and application. (4) Extended memory cardMCIMMC or SD card interface is provided for potential memory extension.3 Communication portThe provided communication ports include USB HOST port，USB DEVICE port，ETHERNET port and RS232/ RS485 port。(1) USB HOST portAT91RM9200 has two USB2.0 HOST ports with a transfer speed 12MBps. One or two USB HOST interfaces can be connected out. The USB HOST works in USB master mode, that is, it acts as an USB host controller.(2) USB DEVICE portAT91RM9200 has one USB2.0 DEVICE interface with a transfer speed 12MBps. When connected to a host such as a PC via USB device port, the board works as a peripheral equipment and in a slave mode. (3) ETHERNET AT91RM9200s MII or RMII integrates 28 bytes size FIFO and special DMA channel，ethernet interface chip can be connected to such interface.(4) USART Four (Universal Synchronized or Asynchronized Receiver and Transmitter) USART is provided. These USRRTs support ISO7816 T0/T1 intelligent card， hardware or software handshake and can be configured as RS232, RS485 or IrDA port in the terms of requirement3、HMI（1）keys Except the RESET key, the board provides other 16 keys.（2）LCD Mono color LCD screen has STN 144x32 pixels， The LCD screen can display both English and Chinese character. It can display four lines with eight Chinese characters maximum per line. （3）Sound Alarm A paper basin speaker with 95110dB sound pressure level is chosen to make sound alarm. Output driver circuit and interface is provided on the system board。（4）Optic Alarm Eight LEDs driver circuit is provided on the system board.4、General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) The platform offers 64 GPIO pins with CMOS logic level. 5 A/D The system has 16 A/D channels. The A/D converter is of 16 bits resolution has serial interface. Every channel is optical isolated and works at the sampling speed more than 20KPS .
