They also have the abilities of working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English as well as act the dialogue out.2. Analysis of Teaching ContentLesson 4 is the fourth lesson in Unit 1, Book 8.This unit focus on the subject Days and Months, Lesson 4 mainly talks about the birthday. By learning the ordinary members to describe the date. And demand the students can introduce the birthday. 教学目标【知识目标】1.To master the words: thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth, seventeenth, eighteenth, nineteenth, twentieth, twenty-first, thirtieth, thirty-first.2. To master the sentence: When is your/ his/ her birthday?【能力目标】Improve the students ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing. 【情感目标】Stimulate interest in learning English, and development of the students ability of using synthetic language.【教学重点】To master the words and phrases.【教学难点】To learn the actual function of someones birthday. 课前准备Tape recorder, Multimedia 教学过程Step 1. Warm-up1Greeting: T:Hello,everyone. How are you? Ss: Fine, thank you.How are you? T: Im fine ,thanks. Nice to see you again. Ss: Glad to see you again.2. Enjoy a song: Twelve Months.3. Free talk:Enjoy a video and to elicit the lesson.Teacher asks students: When is your birthday?Step 2. Presentation1. Explain the new words with the pictures. (thirteenth to ) T: My birthday is on May fifth, when is your birthday? 2. Review the ordinary numbers we have learned.3. Show the new words of ordinary members and let students find the rules.4. Summary the rules of the ordinary members.5. Follow to the teacher.Step 3. Practice1. Practice the words:Teacher show the dates and students say them.2. Group work: Talk with your partner about your birthday.3. Show time.Step 4. Consolidation1.
