Section A (1a-1c). 【教学设计说明】通过借助非洲最高峰乞力马扎罗山的图片来导入新课，让学生感受大自然的美，学生对此比较感兴趣，这对之后的教学做了很好的铺垫。Step 2 Presentation:(大约10分钟)1、 T:Whats the highest mountain in the wold?(Presenting by ppt.) Ss：(珠穆朗玛峰。) T：Yes,Qomolangma.(Presenting by ppt with a picture.) -How high is it ?(Presenting by ppt.) Ss:(-Its 8,844.43 meters high.）(Presenting by ppt.)2、Teach and read. 3、Drill.4、To present the longest river,the deepest salt lake & the biggest desert in the same way. 【教学设计说明】图片教学法是呈现新知识最简单有效的方法之一，学生通过图片，能值观的理解新单词的含义。此环节重点在新单词及词组的意思和发音上，所以要尽量让更多的学生张口说。必要的机械操练也是必不可少的，能使不同层次学生初步掌握目标语言。机械操练是英语初始阶段教学必不可缺少的部分，学生要先从模仿到初步掌握，最后才能熟练应用。机械操练时应注意着重提问成绩较差的学生，由于机械操练比较简单，因此是激发后进生兴趣，培养后进生自信心的一个很好的途径。Step 3 Practice & action:(大约11分钟) 1、Get the students to do practice in pairs /in groups first.
