Knowledge objectivesSs are able to write “ An important event that I remember well ” by using Simple Present Tense, Simple Past Tense and mainly Past Progressive Tense.2.Ability objectivesDevelop Ss ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing,especially writing. Ss are able to write “ An important event that I remember well ”freely.3.Emotional objectivesBy completing the tasks, the Ss increase their interest in English Writing and set up their Self-confidence in English learning.Develop Ss quality of helping others in trouble. put the moral education in language studying.Focuses and difficulties.1The focus pointsDevelop Ss ability of writing by using “was/were doing” structure freely and related useful expressions they have learned .2. The difficult points The Ss are able to use “was/were doing” structure freely and related useful expressions they have learned to write“ An important event that I remember well ”. Teaching aids blackboard , chalks , book , ppt, multi-media. . Teaching methods Communicative Approach , Task-based Language Learning, Process-focused Approach. Teaching proceduresStage1:Pre-writing (13M)Task1:Look and say (3M) The Ss look at the picture and talk about What they were doing when the teacher came in? Then the Ss look at some other pictures and talk about what they and their friends were doing when this event happened? And ask the Ss why they remember the important event well. Task2:Ask and answer (4M)The Ss ask and answer questions according to Malaysia Airlines event. Questions:1.What was the event?2.When did it happen?3.Where did it happen?4.What were you doing when it happened?5.What were your friends doing?6.Why was it important ?7.Why do you remember this event?Task3:Sharing time (6M) 1.Ask the Ss what they can write in an event writing and then list.2. Ask the Ss how many paragraphs they can write and what they can write in each paragraph and then outline.3. The Ss look at 3b and find out what kinds of drills(句型) they can use to write an important event they remember well.4. Tell the Ss to correct some mistakes after writing and try to write beautifully. Stage2:While-writing (20M)Task4:List language points and then outline (10M) The Ss read the material what they are going to write(about Wenchuan Earthquake)and tell them to search the information about the writing.After that, ask the Ss to list language points and then outline. Task5: Challenge yourself !(10M)Tell the Ss to pay attention to some problems in their writing.Get the Ss to begin their writing according to the outlines they write.And get a student to write on the blackboard.Stage3:Post-writing (12M)Task6:Evaluation (10M)Tell the Ss about the evaluation principles and give them an example. Then get the Ss to evaluate the composition a student write on the blackboard.Then show the Ss one possible version and get them to read aloud. Task7:Summary(2M)Ask the Ss what they learned in this class and get them to sum up.Homework:1.The Ss modify their writing after class and share them .2.The Ss write another important event they remember well.
