Unit2 How often do you exercise?Section A教学设计 本课时编写:武侯实验中学 周丹凤 Period 1 1a-1c 教材分析本节课是一节听说课。1a-1c部分侧重课余活动及常见频度副词的学习与训练,本部分的学习重点是一些课余活动的表达法、特别是询问活动频率的问句及答语。本部分的学习难点是掌握常见频度副词在表达级别上的细微差别,教师可通过图表等方式帮助他们理解其语义功能。教学目标1. 学生能熟练掌握下列单词与短语:help with housework,use the Internet,hardly ever。2. 通过听说技能的训练,学生能描述课余时间的活动安排,会使用频度副词及短语。教学重难点【教学重难点】1. 重点:掌握一些课余活动的表达法,以及询问活动频率的问句及答语。2. 难点:常见频度副词在表达级别上的细微差别。课前准备1了解学生课余活动。2. 准备好录音机,制作多媒体课件及学案。教学过程Step l:Lead-in1. Brainstorm. Ask students “What can we do on the weekend?” Let them speak out some weekend activities. The teacher can write them on the blackboard. Show them some pictures.2. Role-play a conversation in your group and talk about weekend activities.For example: A: What do you usually do on weekends?B: I usually.C: Do you often.【设计意图】让学生展开头脑风暴,可以激发学生的思维模式,减少学生下一步谈论果余活动可能遇到的表达上的障碍。Step 2 Presentation1 Work on la.(1) Make a list of the weekend activities.(2) Practice in pairs using the information in 1a.eg: -What do you usually do on weekends?-I usually help with housework/read a newspaper/go shopping/do exercise/watch TV.Learn the new word:houseworkStep 3: Listening ( Work on lb. )Before listeningLet the students understand the meaning of these frequency words and get familiar with the weekend activities.always(100%)_Usually_Often_Sometimes_hardly ever_never(0%)_While listening Ask students to listen and answer the questions.(1) What does the first girl sometimes do on weekends?(2) What does the first boy never do?(3) What does he usually do?(4) What does the second boy always do?(5) What does the second girl often do?(6) What does the third girl hardly ever do? (7) What does she love to do?After listening1. The teacher makes a summary of the content in lb. For example: Now we know the first girl sometimes goes shopping on weekends and the first boy never goes shopping. And write down the frequency words on the blackboard.2. Let the students pay attention to the position of the frequency words in the sentences.【设计意图】通过学习la,使学生对课余活动的表达方式有更多的了解,并拓宽了思路;通过lb,铟妒学生的听力及抓取关键信息的能力;通过1c的训练锻炼学生的口头表达能力,同时巩固了对本课内容的认识。Homework:1. Recite 1b 2. 英语趣配音上完成一段配音。3. Make a conversation by using what we learned.教学反思这节课的设计体现了任务型的教学特点,整节课任务的设计均以学生的兴趣为主,层层递进,符合学生的认知规律,整节课围绕课余活动展开,话题设计贴近学生生活。Period 2 2a-2d 教材分析本节课是一节听说课。2a2d在训练听说能力的同时,学习单位时间内次数的表达方式和How often. -?询问句及应答。谈论这些活动的频度副词及表达次数的方式。教学目标通过听说技能的训练,学生能描述课余时间的活动安排,会使用频度副词及短语。教学重难点1. 重点:掌握一些课余活动的表达法,以及询问活动频率的问句及答语。2. 难点:常见频度副词在表达级别上的细微差别。课前准备1了解学生课余活动。2. 准备好录音机,制作多媒体课件及学案。教学过程Step 1: Lead in T: Look at the picture. What activity is it?S1: Brush teeth.T: Look at the clocks, Its 7:30 a.m and 9:00 p.m. So she brushes her teeth at7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. every day. In other words, she brushes her teeth twice a day.So how often do you brush you teeth?S2: Twice a day.【设计意图】让学生尽早进入本课的目标语言。How often.? Twice/once a day/week. 便于听力输入。Step 2: Listening (Work on 2a and 2b)Cheng Tao is talking about how often he does these activities.1. Let the students observe the picture in 2a, and help them to understand the content of the conversation by asking and answering questions.(1) Whats the boys name?(2) Is a man or a woman asking questions? Whats his or her job?(3) What question is the reporter asking Cheng Tao?(4) Whats Cheng Taos answer?2. Get familiar with the content of the chart. Get to know the activities and the frequency words. Listen. Number the activities (1-5) in the order after students hear them. 3. Listen again. How about.?(3) Role-play the conversation.【设计意图】将听、说、读、写的任务结合起来不仅锻炼了学生的语言综合运用能力,还巩固了学生对目标语言的学习、识记和运用;同时,小组合作对话训练了同学们的合作意识和团队精神;对话的当堂演示使同学们有了学英语的成就感,张扬了个性。【重点突破】1. 频度副词:表示频率的副词叫频度副词。本节所学的主要频度副词(短语)有:always (100%), usually(80%), often( 30%), sometimes( 20%), hardly ever(5%), never (0%)2. exercise exercise v. 锻炼; exercise n. U运动; C练习如: Lets do our exercises. 让我们做练习吧。 Walking is a good exercise. 散步是很好的运动。3. time 次数time and time again 千万次的 three or four times a week 一周三四次表示一周/月/年多少次, 可以用. times a week / month / year,注意有两个词有单独的表示法, “一次”用“once”, “两次”用“twice”。教学反思本节课任务的设计均以学生的兴趣为主,层层递进,符合学生的认知规律,整节课围绕课余活动展开,话题设计贴近学生生活。Period 3 3a- 3c教材分析本部分在Section A所输入语言的基础上,利用表格形式梳理出本单元的语法学习要点。包括:1. 常见频度副词(always,usually,often,sometimes,hardly ever,never)及其在句子中的用法;2. 单位时间内次数的表达方式(once a month,twice a week,every day.);3. 询问课余活动的问句(What do you usually do on weekends?)和答语;4. 询问活动频率的问句( How often.?)和答语;5. 询问某人是否从事某项活动的问句和答语(复习一般现在时表述行为习惯的用法)。教学目标1. 掌握重点单词与短语:maybe, stay up late, at least;掌握常见频度副词(always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never)以及单位时间内次数的表达方式(once a month, twice a week, )。2. 学会询问课余活动的问句(What do you usually do on weekends?) 和答语以及询问活动频率的问句How often.?)和答语。3. 掌握询问某人是否从事某项活动的问句和答语(复习一般现在时表述行为习惯的用法)。4. 培养学生良好的学习习惯和生活习惯。教学重难点重点:1. 询问课余活动的问句(What do you usually do on weekends?)和答语。2. 询问活动频率的问句( How often.?)和答语。3. 询问某人是否从事某项活动的问句和答语(复习一般现在时表述行为习惯的用法)。难点:1. 常见频度副词(always,usually,often,sometimes,hardly ever,never)及其在句子中的位置。2. 单位时间内次数的表达方式(once a month,twice a week,)。课前准备多媒体课件和学案教学过程Step l: Lead-inTalk about the weekend activities using the words and sentences that the students have learned in the last class.Eg. - What do you usually do on weekends? - I usually play basketball.- Do you usually go shopping?- I never go shopping.Step 2: Presentation1. Read the sentences in Grammar Focus. Underline the auxiliary verbs of each question in the left column.2. Read the answers in the right column,and underline the verbs. Pay attention to the verb changes.3. Review Simple Present Tense.4. Read the questions of asking for the frequency of activities and find out the answers to the questions. Let the students pay attention to the certain position of the adverbs of frequency.Step 3: Work on 3aComplete the questions with do or does. Then match the questions and answers.1. How often he play soccer? a. Yes. She usually does.2. _you drink milk? b.Hardly ever. I dont like them.3. How often they stay up late? c. He plays at least twice a week.4. What do you usually do after school?(2) Ask another pair of students to report each conversation above.Eg :S1: How often do you help with housework?S2: I maybe help with housework twice a week.S3: How often does Sun Hua help with housework.S4: He maybe helps with housework twice a week.【设计意图】此活动引导学生关注特殊疑问句的结构,学生需要根据情况补充主语和助动词,还要注意句子的语序。)Step 5: Work on 3a(l) Teacher asks the question What can we do to improve our English? Students discuss it in the class. Eg. watch English program on TV, listen to English news, sing English songs. . .(2) Add more ways of improving English to the chart. Then make a survey about the frequency of doing these things. The sentence structure of How often. . . ? can be used.(3) According to the survey, find the best English student.【设计意图】设计贴近学生日常生活的活动任务可更有效地加强学生知识的学习与运用,在全班展开讨论提高英语学习方法以激活学生的词汇储备,从而减轻学生后续活动的压力。)Homework1. Recite the sentences in Grammar Focus.2. Introduce your teammates weekends. Write a passage about the weekend activities of your group members. Use frequency adverbs as many as possible.教学反思本节课的语法内容中包窘一般现在时表述行为习惯的复习。对于一般现在时疑问句中助动词的使用一直是学生们的易错点。活动3a首先让学生用do或does补全“How often.?”问句或“询问某人是否从事某项活动”的一般疑问句,然将问句和对应的答语匹配。学生需要判断间句的类型,并抓住问旬和答语中的人称主语及活动内容等键信息,这是一个关注语言结构的练习。活动3b让学生将所给词语连词成句,从而关注 “How often.?” “What. usually do on weekends?”句型中的语序。Period 6(3a-4)教学目标1. Language points(语言点)(1)要求掌握以下句式: Did you dislike anything? How did you feel about the trip?(2)要求掌握以下词汇和短语: Dislike, duck, take some photos, learn sth important2. 能够根据提示理解并完成他人日记。3. 学会用正确的格式写完整的日记。教学重难点用正确的时态合适的语言书写日记。教学过程1. Review & Lead inCheck Ss homework (Activity 2d on page 6) together as a class. Then invite several pairs to present their conversation to the class.Once the Ss have presented their conversations, show them the picture of Tiananmen Square, the Palace Museum and a Beijing hutong. 【设计意图】检查学生作业完成情况并复习了上节课内容,同时引出新知识。2. Pre-writingDiscuss and sayT: Lets take a ook at the pictures on the screen. Can you tell me more about these places? What do you think of them? Is there anything special there?S: .Task 1T: Thats great. Now look at page 7 and complete the diary entry about a trip to one of these places. Use the words and phrases in the box to help you. Task 2Answer the questions on page 7
