Unit 4 Why dont you talk to your parents?Section A 1 (1a-2c)教学设计 24团中学 郑海燕一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:1) 能掌握以下单词:allow, wrong, midnight, deal, hang out 能掌握以下句型: Whats wrong? Im really tried because I studied until midnight last night. You could give him a ticket to a ball game. I think you should ask your parents for some money. Why dont you talk to him about it?2) 能了解以下语法: (1)能够运用所学知识谈论问题和困难、提出建议并做出选择; (2)能根据对方所提出的问题,给出一些合理的建议。2. 情感态度价值观目标: 培养学生良好的合作意识,鼓励学生大胆表达自己的想法和意愿。正确认识生活中的一些困难,能采用正确的方式解决生活中的问题。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) Talk about the problems. 2) Learn the new language points. 2. 教学难点:能根据对方所提出的问题,给出一些合理的建议。 学会表达建议的一些方式。三、教学过程Step 1 Warming up(1) Revision (利用图片及半支架的语言结构)A: Whats the matter with? Whats wrong?B: He/She has a 设计意图:课前的复习说环节,激活学生对此话题已有知识的记忆。为本课的深入学习奠定基础。 (2)Discuss (运用图片及下列三个问题):Whats she doing? Is she happy? Whats wrong with her?设计意图:通过看图及提问引导的方式让学生自主的描述,从而有利于扩展学生的思维。 (3)Guessing game T: Whats the matter/ Whats wrong? S: He has too much homework to do. T: Do he like to do it?S1:No, he doesnt. Because he doesnt have any free time to do things he likes. 设计意图:“寓教于乐”通过这个有趣的游戏,让学生巩 固用英语描述生活及学习中出现的问题,并且掌握正确的表达方法。Step 2 Talking(1a)1. Look at these problems. Do you think they are serious or not? Ss discuss with their partners and give some advice. I have to study too much so I dont get enough sleep. I have too much homework so I dont have any free time to do things I like. My parents dont allow me to hang out with my friends. I have too many after-school classes. I got into a fight with my best friend. 设计意图:师生及生生交流的方式,以读带学。同时教师对学生进行适时的情感教育,帮助学生正确看待学习,更好地理解父母。(1b)Listen and circle the problems you hear in 1a. and fill in the blanks.设计意图:以听力的形式再次复现问题的表达,同时借助于挖空让学生给出目标语言及词汇,帮助学生强化记忆。(1c)Pair work Give students some pictures and ask them to do pair work according to the information in 1a just like this: A: Whats wrong?/B: I A: Why dont you talk to your parents /teachers/B: Yes, youre right. 设计意图:pair work 环节,出示图片及半支架的语言环节,让学生就1a中的问题进行对话,巩固运用之前所学新授内容。让学生在同伴的帮助下学习运用目标语言进行初步交流。 Step 3 Listening Work on 2a: T: Peter has some problems. What advice does his friend give him? Fill in the blanks with could or should. 1. Let Ss read the sentences in 2a. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and write the words in the blank. 3. Play the recording again to check the answers. 设计意图:训练学生对情态动词should, could的辨音能力,带着学生一起复习之前所学用should , could给出建议。训练学生的听力能力。 Work on 2b: 1. Let Ss read the sentences below. Explain some main sentences for the Ss. Make sure they know the meaning of each sentence. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to write the letters (a-e) next to the advice in 2a. 3. Play the recording again to check the answers. Answers: 1. d 2. e 3. a 4. c 5. b Exercise:设计意图:以听力训练的方式让学生提取和处理相关信息,引导学生关注细节,并完成相应的听力任务,进一步理解和巩固目标语言,并在训练过程中提升学生的语言技能。Step 4 Pair work 1. Tell Ss to make a conversation using the information in 2a and 2b. 2. Let one pair to read out their conversation first. 3. e.g. A: Whats the matter, Peter? B: I had a fight with my best friend. What should I do? A: Well, you should call him so that you can say youre sorry. B: But I dont want to talk about it on the phone. 4. Ss act the conversation in pairs. Ask some pairs to act out their conversations. 设计意图:学生运用目标语言进行交流,巩固所学目标语言,拓展其语言运用能力,提升其与他人合作交往的能力。Step 5 Extensive writing 请写出你或朋友在生活中存在的至少两个问题,并用should , could ,why dont ., why not.,给出恰当的建议。设计意图:语言的综合输出环节,将学生的听说最后落实到写,更深层次地深化巩固学生所学,并达到学以致用。 Step 6 SummaryAsk students to do a simple summary about how to talk about problems and give advice, according to the blackboard design.Step 7 HomeworkWrite three conversations about your problems and your friends suggestions.
