It seems that not everyone experiences this kind of strong love. The increasing poverty,crime and war tells us that the world is in desperate need of true love. But what is true love? Love is something we all need.But how do we know when we experience it? True love is best seen as the devotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based on how we feel.Certainly our emotions are involved.But they cannot be our only criteria for love.True love is when you care enough about another person that you will lay down your life for them. When this happens,then love truly is as strong as death.How many of you have a mother, or father,husband or wife,son or daughter or friend who would sacrifice his or her own life for yours? She had told him to come straight in if ever she failed to open the door and to leave the bread on the kitchen table. Not wanting to frighten the poor man, Mrs. Richards quickly hid in the small store-room under the stairs. She heard the front door open and heavy footsteps in the hall. Suddenly the door of the store-room was opened and a man entered. Mrs. Richards realized that it must be the man from the Electricity Board who had come to read the meter. She tried to explain the situation, sayingIts only me, but it was too late. The man let out a cry and jumped back several paces.
