Unit 4 Wheres my backpack?Section A 一、Analysis of the teaching materialThe status and function of the teaching materialThe main content of this unit is to talk about “Things around the house” and learn to inquiry “the location of objects”. Make Ss learn basic sentence patterns “Wheres my backpack? Its under the chair.” At the same time, guide Ss to know and learn others good life habits. Teaching aims1) aims of knowledgeSome nouns about furniture as table, dresser, bookcase, sofa, chair, drawer, some prepositions of place on, in, under; where questions to ask the location of objects.2) aims of abilitySs may show their desire skillfully in the situation designed by teacher. From the functional item practice, Ss may apply them in the real communication. Improve their listening ability as well.3) aims of emotionsMake Ss have interest and the desire of learning English, and happy to participate in various English practices. Make Ss help each other in groups and cooperate actively with others to complete learning task. Help Ss set up long-range ideals.3. Teaching difficult and key pointsMaster how to inquiry the location of objects by using Where-questions, and use prepositions of place on, in , under.二、Analysis of the studentsThe students in Grade Seven are very active and interested in new things. Learn the new words in, on, under a. Ask students to help the teacher find the lost things.Teach the new word “where” and the use of “they”.创设情境,学生的求知欲迅速膨胀,在语言运用中体会单词的含义。 b. Consolidate the prepositions by looking at the screen and answer the questions: Wheres ? Wherere? 即学即练,及时巩固三个方位介词的用法,为下文学习做铺垫。c. Show some new words, let students teach the new words according to the pronunciation of the same letters.检测单词预习情况。d. Game: challenge your memory通过挑战记忆的游戏,增强学生学习英语的兴趣并进一步加深对单词的记忆。e. Match the words with the pictures. (1a)巩固新知,加深单词的理解和记忆,检测单词掌握情况。2.Learn the new patterns“Wheres.? Its ” and “Wherere ? Theyre”Show some pictures on the screen, the students make conversations to practice sentence patterns.新句型呈现宜放在情境中进行,情境的创设宜贴近学生生活,突出趣味性和真实性。3. Learn the dialogue on the textbook.a. Then have a competition among groups. See which group can find out all the things and places. 通过这种活动调动学生的视觉、感觉和记忆力来参与语言活动,并且使本课的主要语言知识得到重现,加深印象;同时,小组之间的竞赛体现了协作和团队精神。任务运用:ListingTask 2 My roomShow a picture of my room. Make students read and then fill in the blanks.听说领先,读写跟上。学生对老师的房间感兴趣会积极完成任务,并且认识到要保持房间的整齐和洁净,情感目标得以体现。Step 4 Summary Let students talk about what they have learnt in this lesson. The teacher can give some help if possible. 通过学生自己总结,归纳,训练学生的语言组织及表达能力,同时及时反馈三维目标的完成情况。Step 5 Homework:1. Copy the new words and try to remember them.2. Recite the conversation in 1a.3.
