Warming up Greet the Ss and quote the sentence “You have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others” to lead in. Presentation1a Look at the ways you could help people in the picture. Then list other ways.Other ways you could help people:coaching / teaching kids in a sport or hobby; donating clothes / toys /food to people who need them; helping disabled /elderly people with chores / shopping; teaching the elderly to use computers / e-mail, etc. Listening1. Go over the sentences in 1b, and present the new items in them.2. Listen and number the ways the boy and girl could help others.3. Check the students answers.4. Listen and repeat. Free talkIf your class is going to do volunteer work next weekend, what advice would you give?. Listening1. Present the phrases verbs: come up with, put off, put up, call up2.
