Module 2 Wonderful things Unit 5 Amazing things 教案一、教材分析1、教学内容分析本节课通过对奇特事物的了解与学习,激发学生的学习积极性,并能用正确的形容词来描述自己感兴趣的事情或令人惊奇的事。在教学活动中采用小组活动、集体讨论和课堂表演等方法,来激发学生的积极性,提高学生的语言能力、合作精神和创新精神,让学生自主的去学习,真正做到“先学,后教”原则,达到学以致用的目的。2、设计思路新课程标准提出英语课堂中要体现以学生为主体,尊重个体差异,要以学生的心理特点以及他们的兴趣爱好为根本,在每个环节上充分考虑学生的要求。在突出以学生为主体的课堂上,又要能激发学生的学习兴趣,同时注重培养学生的学习能力和一定的英语基础知识和听、说、读、写的技能。Teaching Aims:Knowledge Aims:1. Grasp some words, phrases and drills about Amazing things.Ability Aims:1. Let students know some unusual things in the world.2. Let students use some adjectives to express their feelings.Feeling Aims:1. To stimulate students interest in strange phenomena in life and nature.2. To stimulate students love for life and nature.Teaching key and difficult points:Key points: 1.Grasp some words, phrases and drills.2. Use some adjectives to express their feelings.Difficult points:To talk about the strange thingsTeaching preparations:Recorder, PPT, and some pictures.Teaching procedures:Step 1: Lead in.1. Show some pictures about the beautiful actions of gymnasts. Then asks students: How do you feel when you see the pictures? Students answer: Its amazing /surprising/strange.Help students to learn new words: amazing, surprising, strange.2. Teacher tells students that the world around us is full of amazing things.3. Let students discuss the amazing things they know in the world. (教学设计说明:当学生看到体操运动员做出的一系列高难度的优美动作时,会感到惊奇与不可思议,在新单词的学习上会有很大的帮助。)Step 2: Presentation.1. Show a picture of part A. Then asks students: What can you see in the picture? After they answering, show new words and phrases: I can see lightning. I can see some plants/plant life.2. Show the other pictures, and then let students ask and answer in pairs. eg: What can you see in the picture? I can see-Then help students to learn new words: travel, Earth, moon, elephant, without, rocket, sneeze, and tiptoe.3. Show four pictures about Comic Strip in order. Then asks students: Do you know what they are talking about? What does Eddie think of?2. Open your books. Read after the recording and check your answers at the same time.3. Act out the dialogues.(教学设计说明:本环节让学生在理解了课文后,能参与设计与表演,活跃了课堂的气氛,锻炼学生的组织与表演能力。)Step 5: Play a game.1. Encourage students to compile the dialogues about the strange things in life and nature.2. Role-play the conversation.(教学设计说明:因为之前的铺垫,学生已经能够用恰当的形容词去谈论令人感到惊奇的事物,对话表演可以满足学生的表现欲。)Step 6: Summary Teacher makes a summary that we know about the strange things and we should love our life and nature.(教学设计说明:课堂及时的小结,相当于让学生将学到的东西主动地再复习了一遍。教师再进行适当的点评,又对本课时的重点进行了一次大概的讲解,让学生再一次加深印象。)Step 7: Homework 根
