Midnight,deal2. 能正确使用以下常用表达:Whats wrong? too much, too many, get into a fight with sb, allow sb to do sth, so that3. 能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式:A: Whats wrong?B: Im really tired because I studied until midnight last night.A: Why dont you go to sleep earlier this evening?能力目标: 通过听说训练,学会谈论问题并给出相应建议, 注意连词的使用。情感态度价值观目标: 通过本课的学习,培养学生善于表达自己的问题,乐于找到解决的办法。引导学生意识到每个人都有难题,学会关注别人,给他人建议的同时会淡化并解决自己的问题,建立开朗健康的人格。二、教学重难点1.教学重点: Talk about problems and give advice.2.教学难点:能根据对方所提出的问题,给出一些合理的建议。学会表达建议的一些方式。正确使用本课常用表达;听力训练。三、教学方法 情景教学法;任务型教学法。四、 教学手段:多媒体辅助五、课程教学设计思路本单元的课题是Why dont you talk to your parents?本课时教材上的呈现内容是围绕讨论青少年的问题(烦恼)以及如何提供解决问题的建议和办法。这节课我会把教材上的基本话题及短语让学生自然摄入,但是这不是最终目的,本课主要是让学生学会使用讨论问题和提供建议两大语言项目,课文的话题只是个媒介,而老师的任务是让学生习得语言,绝不仅仅是拘泥于课本的一个话题。因此我打算在话题上大胆延伸,让学生看到身边其他人的问题,给他人建议。这样既让同一语言在不同背景下反复练习,又让学生的情感得以升华:不要过于自我。每个人都有麻烦事,关注他人,给出建议帮助别人解决问题,自己的问题或许不算什么,要善于把问题化为挑战。教学过程. Lead-in1. Talk about some activities on holiday with students.2.Listen to a piece of music made by myself. It begins with an English song but ends with dog singsing. Students will become interested in the topic below. PresentationShow some pictures about animals that refuse the invitation in order to teach students new words and verb phrases. Ask and answer like this:-Can he hang out with the dogs?-No. -Why not?-His parents dont allow him to hang out with friends.-What do you want him to do?Let students answer the last question by saying“he can”to teach some phases about giving advice. Listening1. T: Look at the problems below. Listen and circle the problems you hear. At the same time fill in the blanks with the words you hear. You can work in pairs with your neighbor .2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the problems or fill in the blanks.3. Check the answers with the Ss.4. T:We can give advice like the sentence structures below.You should/could +v. Why dont you +v.? Why not +v.? Could you please +v.? Youd better (not) +v. Would you mind doing? What about/How about + n./doing?(为了听得更扎实、更高效,我把教材中1b的内容增加一个听后的任务“filling blanks”,以强调“could/should 的用法”). Activities in class1.Pair work Let Ss play a guessing game by using the new sentence structures to practice talking about problems and giving advice . 2.Group workT:Do you have any problems? Show us one of your problems and ask any of the other groups to give you advice. You can do it like this:We have to study too late every night so I dont get enough sleep. Group 1, could you please give us some advice?. Listening Peters friend is giving him advice. Fill in the blanks with could or should .Listen again. Why doesnt Peter like his friends advice? Write the letters(a-e) next to the advice in 2aFree talk. T: What do you think Peter should do? You can choose advice from Activity 2a and you can also show your own opinions. For example:“He should call his friend so that he can say he is sorry.” . Group work (a classroom drama)show some parents and teachers problems to students and ask them to give others advice. T: Play a drama with your group members. Imagine you are somebody who has a problem. Act out your problem and ask for advice in your group.T: Care about others. Maybe our problem is not a big deal at all !. Group work (intergroup communication)Give students three boxes to choose. T: Watch the world around us. Everyone has problems.Why not show our advice or love to them? Please choose any number from the three information boxes. Discuss with your partner group, and write a letter to the person(s) you have chosen. If you like, please show them our love.while Ss writing letters, I will walk around to help them.Report their letters to the class. SummaryWatch a video about how to deal with problems. Tell students that everyone has problems.T: We shouldnt always ask others for advice or love. Why not have a look at other peoples problems?Why not give ourselves some advice?When we care about the people around us , well find that our problem is not a big deal any more!IX.Homework1.
