Greetings Greet the students as usualT: Good morning, boys and girls. S: Step2 PresentationWalk around the classroom and ask students questions T: Hello, whats your Chinese name? S: My Chinese name isT: And your English name? S: My English name is. Write “ Whats your name, my name is ”on the Bb. T: You guys can answer my question like this: Im Tony/Mike. Write “ my name is = Im ” on the Bb.T: Now please tell me what your English names are. Write the Ss English names on the Bb. Ask Students following questions pointing to the boys and girls in the picture.l Is the girls name Cindy or Jenny? l Whats the boys/girls name? l Who is the boy in a red hat? l Whos the girl with glasses?Get Ss may give different answers. List boys and girls English names that may appear in Unit 1 on the PPT. Then guide Ss to practice the pronunciation of the names. Much attention to the vowel sounds in the words. Step3 listeningT: Look at the students. Where are they? What are they doing?S:T: Yes. They are greeting each other. Now please listen and number the conversations. Check the answers.Step 4 Practice First imitate the conversation, make sure ss can read the conversation fluently, then ask ss to greet each other freely.Step 5 Guessing game Show some pictures of stars with heads removed.
