The topic deals with life goals and the students should learn the structure of “be going to” to express the future and the interrogative words “what, how,why” to grasp their basic sentence patterns. Before learning, students have known some words about jobs. This material will lead them to know more about jobs, so that it can help them to build up the correct opinion about future. Aims of the emotionTo encourage students to be brave to speak English. To train the competition and cooperation. To build up the correct opinion of future intentions and love their jobs. Micro Video:无数个姚明,好一个上海Before watching the video,giving some questions.Catch any words about jobs.eg.farmerStep 2:Revision Brainstorm. Show some pictures, and revise the words about jobs. Present new vocabulary. Look at the pictures on the screen and learn the new words:pilot, engineer, astronaut,scientist,musician and etc. Guessing Game. Show five lovely children on the screen. In order to achieve their dream , they try their best. Now they are famous. According to the first sentence, guess who they are? (设计思路:用头脑风暴的方法,尽可能多地复习学生已学过的关于职业的词汇,并且通过游戏教学法,从已学职业词汇过渡到本课新的职业词汇, 为后面的句型教学做好词汇积累。设计猜谜游戏复习关于职业的新旧词汇,有效地激发学生的学习兴趣,活跃课堂气氛。)Step 3:Listening Listen to a passage and fill in the blanks. (设计思路:Facts about Jobs的听力材料,既训练了听力,又通过填空再次训练本课的目标语言。)Step 4:Presentation and Practice Present the basic sentence pattern:What are you going to be when you grow up? Then talk about students dream jobs . (the sentences on the screen ) Present another sentence pattern:How are you going to do that? Present some verb phrases Ss may use in this lesson. Practice the sentence pattern.(设计思路:由教师自己自小的职业梦想到学生自己的理想职业,再由“What are you going to be when you grow up?”自然过渡到“How are you going to do that?”“Why are you going to do that?”讨论的话题贴近学生的生活,引起学生对未来职业的思考,进入到新目标语言的学习中。)Step 5:Group work Ask the students to make a survey about their future plans in groups of four.
