Teaching PlanTeacher: Ding YingPart 1 Analysis of the Teaching Material1. Status and function First of all, Ill talk about status and function. Id like to talk about my understanding about this lesson. It is in the important position of the teaching material. This period is the second of Unit 2. So if the students can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the students learn the rest of this unit. Such a topic is related to our family. So it is helpful to raise learning interests of the students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English.2. Analysis of the students The students have learned English for about half a year. They can understand some words and some simple sentences. The students have taken a great interest in English now. Part 2 Teaching aims 1. Knowledge Aims: (1) Students can listen, read and say the new words (father,dad,mother,mum,man and woman). (2) They also should learn the new sentences: “Whos that man? Hes my father. Whos that woman? Shes my mother.”2. Ability Aims: We should improve students ability of listening, speaking and reading.3. Moral Aims: We should enable the students to love their family. I think this aim is very important.Part 3 Teaching important and difficult points1.The important point is to grasp the new words and the new sentences.2. The difficult point is the pronunciation of the “th”.Part 4 Teaching Methods 1. Five-step teaching method2. Communicative teaching method 3. Task-based teaching method.Part 5 Teaching aids1. Photo2. Multimedia3. StickersPart 6 Teaching ProceduresStep 1 Warm-upI wrote a song for the students. The song is called “Father and Mother”. I will sing the song. Then the students and I sing the song together. Just like that “This is my father. This is my mother. I love you. I love you. The man is my father. The women is my mother. I love you. I love you.”(This step is to make the students raise learning interests in English and make them know the words “father and mother”.)Step 2 Lead-in 1. Lets review: “girl” and “boy” . “This is a girl. This is a boy. She is a girl. He is a boy.” Then show them a photo with a man and a woman. Guide them say the sentences “She is a women. He is a man.” Teach the word woman and man. Let the students read after me. (In this way, the students can learn the new words better. And it will be also let the students think the new words are easy.)2. Show the students my family photo.Let the students ask me “Whos that man? Whos that woman?” I will answer them “Hes my father. Shes my mother.” (Use my own family photo will attract the students and make the students pay attention on the new sentences.)3. Let two group students give a performance with their own family photos in front of the class.(In this way, the students can learn the new sentences better and learn to use the new sentences.)Step 3 Presentation1. Show the picture of my family tree. There will be two flash cartoon on the family tree. Ill teach students the words through the family tree. (The flash cartoon can attract students. And the students will have more interests to learn the new words.)2. Draw a family tree, post photos on the family tree. And teach the students the words again. (In this way, we can deep the students impression of the new words.) 3. Play a game: Who is the fastest? (In this way, the students can learn the words through the game. So they can learn the new words better.)Step 4 Practice 1. Play another game: Show me the right photo. I say “show me the photo of your mother”. The students should show me the right photo and say “This is my mother”. (In this way , the students can through another game to have a practice.) 2. Show time: Let the students introduce their family with their own photos one by one. And use the sentences “she is . He is.” (In this way , the students can learn to use the sentences in the daily life.)Step 5 Consolidation 1.Group work: Let the students make a dialogue like “Whos that man ?Hes my father.”(Through the group work, the students can increase their teamwork and consolidate the new sentences.) 2. Lets chant. The students should understand it and learn it. Just like “The man is the father-tall,tall,tall. The woman is the mother-no so tall. Thats the son-small,small,small. They are a family, one and all.” Then I will bring a competition into the two groups. Which group perform better, which group can get ten stickers.(In this way, we can improve the students initiative and interests of learning English.)Step 6 Summary and homework 1. I will summarize the new words and new sentences with students. 2. Evaluate which one is the best group? And give them stickers. At the same time, I will encourage the other group. 3.
