Unit7 Its raining! Period 1(Section A 1a2c) 教材分析:本节课的内容是人教版七年级下册Unit 7 Its raining !的第一课时,整个Unit 7单元的核心话题是谈论天气和人们在干什么,因此如何问答Hows the weather ? What are you doing ? What he/she doing ? 是单元教学的重点。本节课的重点是学习描述天气的形容词,问天气的句式并复习现在进行时,要求学生熟练掌握并正确运用描述天气的词类和句式。学情分析:谈论天气与我们的日常生活有关,加以动画、图片、声音等多媒体素材形象配合,学习起来学生兴趣浓,比较直观易接受。复习“现在进行时”时师生可随时设置情景,贴近实际,学生在生动活泼的氛围中掌握教学内容。教学目标:1、 调动学生学英语和说英语的兴趣和积极性2、 使学生了解与天气状况有关的词汇3、 学习本课的知识点:词汇:rain, windy, cloudy, sunny, snow, weather, Moscow, Boston句型:Hows the weather in Beijing? Its sunny.4、 训练学生在听录音时听懂简单的与天气有关的英语词汇的能力 教学重点:词汇:rain, windy, cloudy, sunny, snow, weather, Moscow, Boston句型:Hows the weather in Beijing? Its sunny.教学难点: 让学生运用所学语言项目Hows the weather in Beijing? Its sunny.等内容与其他人交流有关天气的信息。教具准备:A tape recorder and some pictures,以及表示天气状况的幻灯片和图示教学过程:Step 1 Warming up1. 创设情境,引入本课时的题目。T:Guys, how many seasons are there in one year? Season, you know?季节S:Four.T:What are they? They are spring, summer, fall and winter. So just as the Chinese saying “一年之计在于春” , Look at this picture, we know that spring is coming. Look at this picture, what are they doing on the grassland from left to right,从左到右。First one, what is this boy doing?S:He is eating.(提问图片中其他人正在做什么,复习现在进行时)T:How is the weather in this picture? 这张图的天气怎么样?(引导学生回答:晴朗)但有时天气是多变的。Now, lets just listen and see how the weather changes? (出示图片刮风、下雨、打雷的图片)T:这些小孩本来是在草地上玩耍的,而现在他们却穿着雨衣走回家。Why?T: Because its raining. Yes, today we are going to learn a new unit, Unit 6.Step2 Presentation1. Present the new words T: Look at this picture. Whats this? S: Its the sun. T: Hows the weather? S: Its sunny. T: Sunny, sunny, read after me. Hows the weather? Its sunny.(用同样的方式教读其他单词windy, cloudy, sunny, snow, weather) T: These words are all about weather. Read after me ,weather, weather,天气。2. Present the new drills “Hows the weather in Beijing? Its sunny.” T: 同学们有没有注意到,刚刚在学习单词是,我用到一个谈论天气的句式。 S: Hows the weather? T: Right. Look at the pictures and answer my questions. Hows the weather? S: Its raining. T: Or Its rainy. 在下雨或多雨的。 T: (出示太阳图片) Hows the weather? S: Its sunny. T: Now ,change, you ask and I answer.(采用师生互问,组与组的对问,男女生对问来操练本课的重点句型) “Hows the weather?” in another way, we can say “Whats the weather like?” (出示图片多云并用该句型来提问) T: (带读“Whats the weather like?”)现在请一位同学来问,然后全班回答。 T: 有些同学会感到奇怪,为什么windy, cloudy, sunny, snow这些单词后面要加上“y”“ny”。4. Ask the students to talk about the picture in 1a. T: Can you find two boys in the picture? What are they doing?S: Yes. They are making a telephone call. T: What are they talking about?S: I think they are talking about the weather. T: Good. Are the two boys in the same place?S: No, they arent.T: Now please look at the picture in 1a on page 31. How is the weather in Picture a? S1: Its rainy. / Its raining.T: How is the weather in Picture b?S2: Its sunny.T: What about Picture c? How is the weather?S3: In Picture c: Its snowy. / Its snowing.T: How about Picture d? How is the weather?S4: In Picture d I can see some clouds in the sky. Its cloudy. T: Then Picture e? How is the weather?S5: In Picture e, I can see the wind. Its windy.5. Ask the students to read the numbered words and match them with the right pictures. Check the answers.Step 3 Listening (1b)1. Listen and writeT: Now well listen to four conversations about the weather in a few cities and youll have to write these city names in the boxes above. First please listen and pay attention to the names of these cities. Play the recording. Ask the students to repeat these city names after the recording.Then ask the students to listen to the recording again and write the city names in the box. 2. Listen and repeat Play the tape again and ask the students to read the conversations after the recording. The students in the first row read after Tom in the recording, the rest “Peter”. S1: (Read after Tom) Hey, Peter. Happy New Year!S2: (Read after Peter) Happy New Year, Tom!.Go on practicing in other ways. 3. Check the answers by asking the students the following questions. T: Now answer my questions: Wheres Tom / Peter / Aunt Sally / the girl / Uncle Bill?S1: In Boston / Shanghai / Moscow / Beijing / Toronto. T: Hows the weather there?S1: Its windy / cloudy / snowing / sunny / raining.Step 4 Pair work (1c)1. Ask the students to tell how the weather is in each picture.T: Great! Now you can look at the picture and tell me the weather in each city. For example:In Picture a. Its in Toronto. Its raining. Sample sentences:S2: In Picture b. Its in Beijing. Its sunny.S3: In Picture c. Its in Moscow. Its snowing.S4: In Picture d. Its in Shanghai. Its cloudy.S5: In Picture e. Its in Boston. Its windy.2. Ask the students to listen to the recording once again and make conversations in pairs. T: You are in one of the places in the picture above. Listen to the recording again and make your own conversations talking about the weather. Sample conversations:1) S1: How is the weather in Beijing?S2: Its sunny. 2) S1: How is the weather in Toronto?S2: Its raining. 3) S1: How is the weather in Moscow?S2: Its snowing. 4) S1: How is the weather in Boston?S2: Its windy.5) S1: How is the weather in Shanghai?S2: Its cloudy.3. Further practice: Ask the students to go on practicing the conversations. Show the following.
