Unit 12 What did you do last weekend?Period 4 Reading 701陈怡珂本课分析本课是一节课。读前“头脑风暴”活动之后进入读前预测。引导学生读标题,预测将要读到的内容(有关周末)。然后引导学生看图,预测将要读到的内容。在阅读中,先通过快速阅读抓主要信息,再进行细读,理解文章细节。在学生回答问题的过程中,教师可运用动词、图片或上下文帮助学生理解词义,学习tent, shout, jump, put up等生词。另外,提醒学生关注本篇文章里出现的一些重要词组及句型,如so.that, its important to do等。最后以一个问题引导学生进一步挖掘文章情感,基于文本又超越文本。学情分析学生通过第11单元以及第12单元前三课时的学习,初步学习了动词过去式,但是熟练认知和使用动词过去式对学生来说还是有难度的。阅读中活动的设计要符合学生的认知规律,由浅至深,在找寻文章基本信息的基础上对学生思维和语言提出进一步要求,有助于学生对文章有不同层次的理解。教学目标1. 语言技能目标:能初步运用wh-引导的特殊疑问句谈论最喜欢的东西以及原因,时间等。语言知识目标:能掌握本课重点词汇:tent, sothat, put up, snake, forest, surprise, scared, wake up, jump up and down 情感态度目标:通过读后问题使学生关注故事中的情感(家庭,收获)2. 文化意识目标:初步了解印度蛇文化;了解国外学生的周末生活3. 学习策略目标:能根据标题和插图预测短文主要内容 了解时间顺序是讲述故事的主线教学重难点重点:重点词汇 tent, sothat, put up, snake, forest, surprise, scared, wake up, up and down 话题:Talk about ones unforgettable weekend难点:记叙文的时间主线教学步骤Step 1 Warming-up【Activity 1】 Free-talkT: What did you do this Dragon boat Festival?Ss: I ate Zhongzi. / I watched the boat races. / T: Last night, when I read in my room, I heard my roommate shouting. It sounded that she was scared of something. I ran to her room, and I saw this.Then T shows a picture of a black-beetle. T: She is so scared of the black beetle. What kind of animals are you sometimes scared?T puts more pictures of some scaring animals on the screen.Ss: Im scared of because they can/ are设计意图通过谈论假期的活动既可以复习动词过去式,又可以引出本课话题,并在语境中教授生词scared, shout.Step 2 Pre-reading【Activity 2】 Predicting T presents the pictures of a snake, and the title “A Weekend to Remember”.T: Today were gonna talk about one of them. Look at the picture and the title, what happened? Or what do you want to know about that weekend?Ss are allowed to speak out their guesses. 设计意图锻炼学生的阅读预测技能,也让学生对文章有所预设和期待。 Step 3 While reading 【Activity 3】 ScanningRead the first paragraph and find answers to “How” “When” “Where” “Why”1. How was the weekend?Interesting but scary设计意图锻炼scanning技能,找到故事的基本要素。 【Activity 4】 Close readingInterestingQ1: What did family do in the countryside.(They put up the tents and made a fire. Theyre time and activities. Ss are to retell the story according them. 设计意图通过复述的活动再次整理文本的线索,并复习重要动词。【Activity 7】 Further thinking T: Why was it a weekend to remember? Ss: Interesting Scary being together with family设计意图让学生关注文本又超越文本地进行感悟和思考。【Activity 8】 My weekend to RememberT: This is about the writers weekend to remember. What about yours?
