Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?Section B 2a2e太和五中 李勇一、教材分析教学目标知识目标1.学习并掌握新词汇:chore; stress; waste; in order to; provide; anyway; depend; develop; fairness; fair; since; neighbor; ill; drop; independence; independent; 2. 能正确使用以下常用表达:A waste of time; theres no need for to; provide sth. for sb.; mind doing sth; do ones part in doing sth.; in order to do sth; depend on ; take care of; fall ill; the earlier the better3. 学会使用以下句型:1) They dont have time to study and do housework.2) They should spend time on schoolwork in order to get good grades and get into a good university.3) It is the parents job to provide a clean and comfortable environment at home for their children.4) Its not enough to just get good grades at school.能力目标通过阅读训练,培养学生的良好的阅读理解能力,同时使学生通过阅读中心句的方式把握文章大意的技巧,对议论文中的观点进行进一步的解读,以实现对学生对家务劳动的深刻理解。情感目标通过本课的学习,不能过多依赖父母,要在学习之余,帮助父母做家务劳动是很重要的。教学重点重点词汇、常用表达及句型。对文章大意的把握。教学难点在理解两封信的基础上对文章进行进一步的解读。通过学生阅读查找相关的句子。(突破措施)教学方法略读法;任务型教学法。二、学情分析 本节课授课对象是八年级学生,学生在Section A部分对有关家务劳动的话题已经接触过,已经掌握了相关的家务劳动的短语,以及如何做出礼貌的请求和征询许可的句型。对于孩子是否应该做家务劳动这个观点学生应该有话可说,但不知如何使用英语去表达,因此带着这个问题去学习使他们充满了了期待。三、教学流程环节师生活动二次备课Warming up &Lead-in 1. Warming upToday I want to introduce one of my good helper to you. It is a cat. It always helps me out. Here is a short video.Ask them whether they help out with chores at home. And is it necessary to help out with the housework?Pre-reading2. Free talkLet the students discuss the questions below.(1)What do you often do to help your parents at home?(2)Do you think kids should help out with chores at home?While-reading1. SkimmingIntroduce what skimming is. Skimming: read the passage quickly and get the main idea.It is a good idea to read the first sentence in each paragraph a little more carefully.(1) Then skim the letters quickly and answer Which one agrees and which one disagrees?(2) Ask the students to skim the letters again. Find and underline Mr. Smiths and Ms. Millers points about children helping with housework.2.Second-reading .Read the two letters carefully and find what are the pros and cons about kids doing chores.ProsConsDoing chores helps to develop childrens independence.Housework is a waste of childrens time.Check up the answers.3. Careful-readingAsk the students to look at the exercise 2d on page 23 to write one sentence with each phrase from the letters.Post-reading1.
