The lesson will help students know how to describe their vacation by using present progressive and some things about weather.6.Teaching Objectives: A. Knowledge objectives:(1) Students can learn new words, such as visit, Canada, summer, sit, juice, soon, vacation, hard, Europe, mountains, country ,and new phrases, for example, on a vacation ,write to ,have a great time doing some things.(2) Students can master these sentences: a. I am having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada.b. I want to call you but my phone isnt working, so Im writing to you.c. Its hot in your country now, isnt it? B. Ability objectives:(1) Students can master the writing way of postcard.(2) Students can talk about their summer vacation.(3) Students can grasp the fast reading skills , careful reading skills and communicative skills . C. Emotional objectives:(1) Students can enjoy their life.(2) Students can share their beautiful life to other.7.Teaching Key and Difficult Points: A. Teaching key points:(1) Students can master and use the new words, phrases and sentences.(2)Students can master the fast reading skills , careful reading skills. B. Teaching difficult points:(1) Students can grasp the fast reading skills , careful reading skills .(2) Students can master the new words, phrases and sentences.8.Teaching Methods: Task-based Teaching Method, Situation Method ,Communicative Approach.9.Teaching Aids: Multi-media, blackboard, pictures, PPT.10.Major Steps: Step1. Warming-up(5minutes) Teacher asks students to talk and answer these questions: Whats the weather like in your city/town in spring/summer/autumn/winter ? What activities do you like to do in spring/summer/autumn/winter? After 1minute ,students show their answers. Step 2. Talking(8minutes) Teacher shows an example to students ,then students talk about the pictures in 2a with a partner. Hows the weather? What are the people doing? After 2minutes ,students show their work. And read the PPT showed by teacher together. Step3.Learn new words Teacher shows the pictures and new words to students and make some introduction. Then ,students read after teacher and keep them in mind. Step4:Fast reading Students read the passage quickly and finish these :1.Match each postcard below with the correct picture in 2a.2.Find the sentences about the pictures in 2a and underline them by pencil.3.Think how to write a postcard. Then, students give their answers and teacher gives the true answer. Step5. Listening and reading Students listen to the tap and read the passage, then finish these:1.Find the sentences of present progressive and underline in red pen.2.Then,pay attention to these sentences and think about why use this tense. Then ,teacher tell them the reason . Step6.Careful reading Students read the first and the second postcards in 2b together and answer the questions one after one .Then teacher check the answer. Step7:Post reading Students read by themselves and fill in the chart with information from the postcards in 2b. Then check the answer by saying full sentences. Step8:Language points1.Im having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada. have a great time doing something. 意为“做某事过得愉快”。 e.g. 我们唱歌、跳舞过得很愉快。 We have a great time singing and dancing. have a great time =have fun =enjoy oneself2. I want to call you but my phone isnt working, so Im writing to you. 1). my phone isnt working work 在这里是不及物动词,意为“(机器)运转;活动”。 e.g. My watch _. What time is it now? 我的手表坏了。现在几点了? 2)write to 表示“给某人写信”。 例如: My friend, Tom, often writes to me. 我的朋友汤姆经常给我写信。 hear from somebody 收到某人的来信3.Its hot in your country now, isnt it ? 你们国家现在很热,对吧? 此句是一个陈述内容之后附加了一个简短的疑问部分,来对陈述的内容进行确认。语法把这样的疑问结构称作“附加疑问句”,也称为“反意疑问句”。例如: It is very cold there, isnt it? 那儿很冷,是吧?4.
