Teaching Content Type of lesson:reading classTopic:ProblemsBecause of the preparation of the previous periods, students can express their feelings by making decisions. And this period continue to develop their reading ability. At the end of this period, they have ability to use the reading skills to read the passage more efficiently.(1) To tell the students that the first two sentences or the last two sentences of each paragraph will help Ss to find out the main idea.(2) Before reading the passage, read the questions first will help Ss finish the task more efficiently(高效完成任务). (2). Relations among three parts2a. Activate students background knowledge before reading.2b. Get the main idea of this passage by skimming. 2c. Get the details of the passage by answering the questions in 2c.studentsKnowledge level: Students can use language pattern in the previous period to make decisions. And knowledge they learnt can help them to read.Analytical level: Students enjoy a certain ability to analyze the passage on the basis of long-term cultivation of reading habit and strategy. Affection purpose : Students are able to express their feelings by making decisions. 2. Teaching goalsKnowledge:1.By reading the passage, the students should be able to understand and use the words or phrases about the topic: problems. 2. The students should understand the passage and learn some skills of reading, like skimming to find the main idea, analyzing the structure of the passage.Ability:1. Ss should learn to conclude the construction of the article . 2. Ss should be able to use relative reading skills to get detailed information. Affection:1.Ss should be able to build the right attitude while facing the problems.2.Ss should be able to learn some ways of solving the problems.3. Key points and difficultieskey points:1.To learn the strategy “skimming” to generalize the main idea of the passage 2. To understand the whole passage by analyzing the structure of it. Difficult points:1.How to guide the Ss to generalize the main idea of the passage by skimming.2. How to guide the Ss to analyze the structure of the passage from some details.4. Teaching and learning waysTeaching aids:Multi-media , pictures, music, students paper5. The introduction of designing(1) Before reading1.Ask ss to watch a MV about the problems between children and parents and recall their knowledge about problems in their daily life. 2.Make a mind map to discuss the students problems.3.Talk about the picture in 2b and lead in the passage.5. At the same time, conclude the structure of the passage from the details while finishing the form in the students paper.(3) Post-Reading1. Ask Ss retell the passage with the help of the details in the form.2. Discuss the attitude and who we can talk with and how we cantalk when we meet the problems in our daily life.6.
