VMware的ESX上VM系统盘的扩充方法(2008-10-20 13:38:56) 转载标签： vmware扩展磁盘空间不足it 我的VMware的ESX服务器上运行了很多的虚拟机VM，一天发现有一台的VM系统盘的空间已经用完。如何扩大vm上的硬盘空间呢？ 在esx上运行的VM，如果使用空间不够，我们可以使用两种方法来扩展磁盘空间。一是新增磁盘法；二是扩展磁盘法。一、新增磁盘法 这种方法比较简单，就是给这个vm添加一块新的硬盘来达到扩展磁盘空间的目的。就和普通机器一样。这个过程vm是不需要关机的。这种方法可以通过给这个vm添加硬盘的方式解决空间问题。二、扩展磁盘法 但是有时候我们不能采取新增磁盘的方法来扩充磁盘的空间。比如数据库文件的空间，系统磁盘的空间等等，这个时候我们就不能使用新增磁盘法来解决磁盘空间不足的问题。此时，我们只能使用扩展磁盘法来解决。这种方法现相对比较复杂。我们现在将这种方法整理如下：1.使用ssh工具登陆到VM所在的ESX服务器上； 2.使用CD命令，进入那个vm的目录下； 3.使用vmkfstools -X 10G aaa.vmdk进行扩展磁盘文件大小（X后的那个是最终的大小） 4.运行完命令后，那个磁盘文件就改成10G。 经过上述四个步骤后，磁盘是扩大了，但系统盘还是原来的大小。还需要进行一步调整系统盘的大小。怎么调整系统盘的大小呢。也有两种方法： 方法1，使用调整分区大小的软件 A.启动VM，安装调整分区大小的软件； B.调整后重新启动一下VM，就可以正常使用了。 这一步的调整，与物理机调整磁盘大小一样。 方法2，使用微软自带的工具diskpart 但这个工具是不能调整启动盘的大小的，所以采用变通的办法。 A.启动一个新的VM，把这个扩展的vm的disk，挂到这个vm上； B.在新的VM上，运行diskpart命令； C.运行List volume命令，查看要扩展的磁盘卷号； D.运行Select volume命令，选择要扩展的卷； E.运行Extend命令，进行空间扩展； F.在这个VM上，删除已扩展的磁盘； G.启动经过磁盘扩展的VM； H.检查系统盘的空间，发现已发生改变。Extend boot volume on Windows Server 2000/2003Before you begin, make sure that you do not have an active snapshot on the VM, extending a virtual disk with a snapshot will cause corrputionExtend the boot volume of Windows Server 2003 Virtual MachineTo start, I have a Windows Server 2003 Virtual Machine that has a 5.3G disk allocated to it, I need to expand this disk to 10G.Step 1: Power off the virtual machine that holds the boot volume that you want to extend.Step 2: Make a backup copy of your virutal disk, this is optional but if you mess up dont call me unless youre willing to pay.Step 3: From the service console, increase the size of the .dsk or .vmdk virtual disk file.
