Go for it!七年级下册Unit 5 Why do you like pandas?Period 1 Section A (1a1c)教学设计海南省澄迈县永发初级中学 曾德暖一、教学内容分析本单元的中心话题是“Describe animals and express preferences”(描述动物和表达个人喜好)。主要是通过学习动物名称和常见的有关描述动物的形容词,学会表达个人对动物的喜好;学会运用why, what, where引导的问句,了解动物的外形、生活习性及主要产地,并能运用英语简单描述自己喜欢的动物,进一步培养和激发热爱动物、保护动物、维护生态平衡的朴素情怀。本节课是本单元的第一课时,主要学习一些动物名称的名词和描写动物特征的形容词,学会运用所学词汇和句型描述动物,表达个人喜好并陈述原因。二、学情分析大多数学生来自农村,他们在小学阶段没有学习过英语,而是从七年级才开始学习,起点低,底子薄,但是学生的学习兴趣浓,对于学习英语,他们既感到好奇,又担忧,希望能得到他人的肯定。因此,在教学中,我创设有效的情境,鼓励学生积极参与课堂活动,敢于开口说英语,让学生体验到成功的喜悦,增强学习的信心。三、教学目标知识目标1. 掌握表示动物的名词和描写动物特征的形容词:panda, zoo, tiger, elephant, koala, lion, giraffe, animal, cute, lazy, smart, beautiful。 2. 学习表达理由的句子:-Why do you want to see them?-Because theyre cute/ beautiful/interesting.能力目标1. 能用所学语言描述动物的基本特征。2. 能够谈论自己喜好的动物并陈述原因。情感目标通过让学生描述动物的基本特征和谈论自己喜好的动物并陈述原因,来激励学生爱护动物,了解自然,进而学会保护动物,关心他人,体会到保护环境的重要性。教学重点 表示动物的名词和描写动物特征的形容词。教学难点 学会运用Why提问原因,用because表达理由。三、教学准备T: A tape recorder,PPT Ss: 搜索有关动物的图片四、教学过程Step 1 Greetings and warming up T: Do you like listening to music? Lets listen to a song and tell me what it is about. Step 2 PresentationT: Whats the song about?Ss: .T: Do you like animals? Can you tell me some?T: Where do animals usually live?Step 3Present the new words1. T: Today we are going to learn the names of animals. Well also learn how to say which ones we like and tell why we like them. (point to a panda) Whats this? Its a panda, panda. Ss repeat “panda”.2. T: What are these? They are pandas. Ss repeat “pandas”. (Teach “ tigers, elephants, koalas, lions, giraffes” in the same way.)Step 4 Practice the new words.Play a game. 用“看图猜词”的游戏操练所学的单词。Step 5 Match the words with the animals in the picture.(1a)Give Ss about two minutes to finish 1a and then check the answers.Step 6 Present the new drillsT:Do you know the animals well? I often go to the zoo because there are so many lovely animals in it. I like to see the pandas. Do you know why?Ss:I like to see the pandas because they are cute. “cute” means “可爱的,机灵的”. Read after me, cute.
