In order to motivate the students, divide the class into two parts to compete in finishing tasks.Step 2 Pre-reading1. Using the four Pictures (Fish and chips, speakers corner, Big Ben and the Tower of London) to lead the students to the British Isles. 2. Watch a short film to arise the students interest and ask them what they know from the film to help them to know something more about the British Isles. For example, what the UK stands for, the weather and the languages on the islands.3. lead-in. Tell the students if we want to get to know the British Isles we can from these aspects: geography, languages, history. Climate and culture.
