Period 11a-1c城关初中:李莉教学目标:Knowledge aims:能掌握以下单词及电视节目类型的词: news, soap, stand, sitcom=situation comedy ,talk show ,soap opera ,game show ,sports show ,talent show能掌握以下句型: What do you want to watch? What do you think of talk shows? I cant stand them. I dont mind them. I like/love them. / I dont like them. Ability aims: 学会陈述自己的看法;学会谈论自己的喜好。Emotion aims:会谈论流行文化,了解各类电视和电视节目的名称和自己的喜欢。 注意引导学生们形成正确的文化观念,大力培养学生们的跨文化意义,形成自己独立的个性。教学重难点:1) 学习掌握各类电视和电视节目的名称。2) 学习掌握What do you think of .? “你认为-怎么样?”谈论对某事物的喜好程度的句子.可选择的回答有I like it/them. / I dont mind it/them.I dont like it/them. / I cant stand it/them.I like it/them . / I love it/them.Its interesting / boring. / Theyre OK. 教学准备: 幻灯片,图片,多媒体Teaching Procedures:Step1:Greet the classStep2: Warming-up Show a picture to the students. Free talk : T: What are they doing ?Ss: They are watching TV.T:Do you like watching TV?Ss:Yes, I do.Step3: Presentation T: They are watching a cartoon. It is a TV show. What kind of TV shows do you know?Ask some students to say out they know names of TV show. Then show some pictures of different kinds of TV shows. Ask: What kind of TV show(s) is it / are they? Answer these questions.Learn the names of the TV shows. Play a guessing game: Look at pictures and say out names of TV shows quickly. Step4: Learn new lesson Come to 1a. Match the TV shows with the pictures( a-g ).Check the answers with the Ss. Step5:Show some happy and sad faces , let student know their meaning . T:What does these faces mean?Love/ like / dont mind/ dont like / Cantstand. Show picture and ask:T:What do you think of sitcoms?Ss:I love/like/dont mind them.Step6:Pair workGet Ss to work in pairs and make conversations like this.A;What do you think of sitcoms?B:I love/like/dont mind.Ss work in pairs and make dialogues like this. A;What does he/she think of talk shows/talent shows/sitcoms.?He/ she loves/ likes/ doesnt mind.To help Ss to practice the sentence structure and consolidate the knowledge.Step7:Listening 1)Tell Ss to read the shows in the box. Make sure they know the meaning of the shows. 2)Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the shows1-4 , and fill in the blank. Check the answers with the Ss.Ss listen and number the shows(1_4) in the order you hear them. To improve Ss listening ability and consolidate the knowledgeStep8:Pair work 1. Let Ss look at the pictures in the screen 2. Then let Ss make their own conversation using the shows and expressions in the pictures like this: A: What do you want to watch?B: What do you think ofS?A: Theyre OK/fantastic/boring .I dont mind/love/cant standthem.B: Then lets watch a talk show.3. Let some pairs ask and answer about the shows to the class. Step9:Sum up: words , phases and sentences. Tell the students not to watch TV too much!
