Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? Section A 1 (1a-2c) 授课人 杨治成 2017.2.19I. Analysis of teaching material: 1. Status and function The topic Ill teach today plays a very important part in the whole text book. In this unit, students learn to talk about some TV shows. We know, it is an interesting topic for the Ss. So all the activities in this lesson are helpful to raise the Ss learning interest, and can also improve their spoken English.2. Teaching aims and demands:1) Knowledge aims: a. Master some new words and phrases: sitcom, news, soap, educational, plan to do sth, hope to do sth, find outb. Target language: What do you want to watch? What do you think of talk shows? I cant stand them. I dont mind them. I like/love them. / I dont like them. 2) Ability aims:a. Students learn the ability of listening and speaking.b. Students improve their communicative ability. c. Students learn how to express their feelings freely.3) Moral ability: Make them realize it is very important not to watch TV too much.3. Teaching difficult and key points:Students learn to express their feelings and attitudes in right ways.Students know their likes and dislikes about TV shows.How to make the Ss take an active part in pairwork. Ill change my teaching methods according to the Ss. I can also show them some pictures and videos to attract their attention on the computer and give them some encouragement to make them be confident and express their feelings freely.II. Analysis of students:1. Analysis of students.Many students are about 14 or 15 years old. They have learned English for more than two years. They know some English but some of them dont learn it very well. Especially, most of them are afraid of speaking in public. So Ill help the Ss in different levels to learn English. . Teaching procedures:. 1. Greet everyone and lead-in by showing a video and asking some questions.意图:由于是他校的学生,首先要和他们初步有所了解,为下面的环节做好铺垫. Presentation1. Teach the new words by showing some pictures.2. Memory challenge, go over some new words to let the students grasp them in class.3. Let the students finish 1a, check the answers together.4. Supply some other TV shows.5. Tell them to understand: What do you think of .? What does he/she think of.?In order to make the students master the sentence patterns better, the teacher can enable the students to use their own words to make up new dialogs in pairs. Practice 1c in pairs.6. Listen to 1b and check the answers7. Work on 2a: Look at the picture and answer the questions. 1) Where are they? What are they doing?2) What are they probably talking about?. Listen to 2a and check the answers. Play the recording again to listen to 2b. Check the answers. 意图;通过大容量的呈现和适当的拓展,让学生了解和掌握必要的内容。. SummaryThis class weve learned some TV shows and some key points意图:回顾本节课的主要知识。.Teaching feedbacksIts necessary to check up what the Ss grasp. In this lesson, I lead the Ss to talk about their feelings about different things. As we know, this point is very important for them, so Ill give them more chances to practice next time. In my future teaching, Ill try my best to improve the quality of my teaching and make every lesson more and more lively and excellent.
