SectionA1a-1c一、教学目标1)Knowledge Objects知识目标In this unit, students learn to talk about personal traits and how to compare people. 学习谈论人的个性特征和如何比较人的个性特征。Learn the rules of changing adjectives into comparative degree. Help to use comparative degree to compare two people. 学习把形容词变比较级的规则, 帮助他们用形容词的比较级比较两个人。2)Ability Objects能力目标To train the students ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. To train the students ability of communicative competence. 培养学生听说读写和交际能力。3)Moral Objects德育目标To have students understand people have quite different traits, but they should overcome the bad habits and keep good healthy habits. To encourage students to be brave, honest and kind. 让学生理解不同的人有不同的个性,他们要改变不良习惯,保有健康习惯。鼓励学生要勇敢,诚实,友善。二、学习目标1)能掌握以下单词:outgoing,better,loudly,quietly,hard-working,2)能掌握以下句型:TinaistallerthanTara.SamhaslongerhairthanTom.ShealsosingsmoreloudlythanTara.3)能掌握以下语法:形容词或副词比较级形式的构成。表示两者进行比较的句式结构。4)情感态度价值观目标:能对人物的外表进行描绘,个性进行比较。三、教学重难点1.教学重点:1)形容词或副词比较级形式的构成。2)表示两者进行比较的句式结构。2.教学难点:HehasshorterhairthanSam.IsTomsmarterthanTim? ShealsosingsmoreloudlythanTara.四、学情分析我们教学的对象是初二学生,他们学习英语有较强的记忆力和模仿能力,但知识的扩展和运用能力还有待提高。他们有较强的求知欲和表现欲,但又不自信,羞于表达,又希望能达到他人的肯定。因此我在教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来,让他们有更多的机会来说英语,体验学习英语的乐趣和成就感,体验到成功的喜悦。在教学中,我运用了灵活多样的教学策略,采用游戏、唱歌、竞猜、合作等多种活动方式和学习策略,利用多媒体等教学手段激发学生的学习热情和兴趣,让学生在轻松愉快的学习环境中熟练地掌握所学知识、运用知识。四、教学过程. Lead-in and Revision导入1. Play a piece of music, and then describe what the teachers favorite looks like. Ask the students to describe what their favorite stars look like. Have Ss talk with their partners and write down as many adj. about people as possible.讲授II. Section 1aLet the students to write the opposite words according to the picturestall - short; thin - heavy, long hair - short hair, calm - wild III Presentation 1. Ask Ss to see the pictures on the screen and talk about the people to see the differences. e.g. The woman is heavier than Han HongYao Ming is taller than Zeng Zhiwei. . Listening Then listen to the recording. Ask Ss to number the twins. Then check the answers together. Pair work 1. Point out the sample conversation in activity 1c.2. Practice the conversation then make conversations about the other twins.A: Thats Tara, isnt it?B: No, it isnt. Its Tina. Tina is taller than Tara. And she also sings more loudly than Tara.3. Have students work with their partners Make their own conversations about the twins.4. Ask several pairs to say one or more of their conversations. 练习VI. Guessing gameShow some photos of the students with their faces covered , then ask the other students try guessing who they are.Using the sentences:Is that .? Yes, it is./ No, it isnt. . is .than her/him.VII. Writing 1.Ask Ss to compare themselves with their partners and find out the differences. e.g. She is heavier than me. I am more outgoing than her. She gets up earlier than me. I run faster than her. 2.Check the answers and then ask some students to read their sentences aloud. VIII. Relaxing Play the song: The more we get together, the happier well beand then have students sing along with it
