教学设计 明瑞 Sunny一、课题:Im more out going than my sister.二、整体设计思想 According to the new standards of English curriculum, English, as a subject, is both a tool and a reflection of humanity in its primary stage of compulsory education. So we should not only teach them knowledge, but lay more emphasis on the development of their ability. I strongly hold that the students are the real masters while the teacher is a guide in the teaching and learning process. The basic task is to arouse interests and make everyone of them enjoy the class and learn happily in the primary stage. So in this class, I design many interesting games while teaching them knowledge, which will make them more cooperative and confident. 三、教学目标1. Knowledge objectives 1) Master the new words and expressions loudly, quietly, serious, outgoing, hard-working, more, than I am more outgoing than my sister. Liu Xiang runs faster than Yao Ming. 2) Learn to describe people using adjectives 3) Be able to compare people using the comparative degree.2. Ability objectives 1) Be able to understand short dialogues through listening and talk about the differences of people through observation 2) Be able to understand short passages and can write a composition to describe the changes of a city 3) Learn to compete through a game and cooperate through pair work.3. Moral objectives 1).Students become more interested in English learning through games and activities in class. 2).Students learn to care about others through describing his or her classmates. Also they have a great hope for the better I by thinking what they will be like 10 years later.四、学生分析Students are in grade 8. They have learned English for one year. So they have some basic knowledge. For example, they know tall, short for ones looks, and shy, smart for ones personality. So its helpful for the further learning of unit3. Then they have good memories and are good at imitation, which are helpful to learn new words and expressions. Most of them are active, willing to behave themselves and know how to cooperate with others, but some of them are not brave and confident enough, so we should give them more encouragement. 五、教学重、难点1.Teaching important points1) Master the new words 2) Master the new expressions.2.Teaching difficult point Compare people and summarize the rules六、教具 Computer, textbook, blackboard, chalks七、教学过程教学环节教师活动学生活动设计理念Warm- up1.Greetings: the teacher greet the students.2.Play a song.The more we get together. Lead the students to sing.1.Greet the teacher.2.Sing the song with the teacher.Warm up the atmosphere by greetings and singing. Lead-inPresent some pictures, and let students guess whether its short or tall, thin or heavy.Guess the pictures.Arouse students interests by a guessing game and lead them to a new lesson. Presentationand practice1.Show the Chinese meaning of some adjectives, and let students say its corresponding English.There are some new words in it. And every new word has a picture.2. Ask students to describe his or her classmates and the actress using the adjective.For example: Zhao Liying is beautiful. 3. Play a short video to show the new sentence structure.For example: I am bigger than you.4. Show a game: Who is luckier. There are 8 exercises. Ask the student to choose a number. If he answers it correctly, give him a gift. 1. Students stand up quickly to say its corresponding English. And then read the words together.2. Students use one sentence to describe a classmate and an actress with the adjectives.3. Watch a video, then read the new sentence structure.4. Choose a number and answer the question.This step aims to make students learn the target language and learn to use the adjectives and the comparative degree to describe and compare people. Pictures and video can easily attract their attention, and help them have a better understanding of the new knowledge.The game playing will make them more active. Listening1.Show the picture with twins. Ask students to describe their differences.2. Play the listening material and check the answers1. Describe the differences of the twins.2. Listen to the dialogues and fill in the blanks.This steps aims to improve students listening ability. Students are able to understand the dialogue and pay attention to the comparative degree.Promotion Pair-workAsk students to make conversations to compare themselves and their friends with their partners. Students make conversations with their partners.Then show their conversations in the front.This step makes students use the target language to communicate with others. Showing conversations will give them chances to behave themselves, and make them confident. ConsolidationGroup work: interview1. Ask students write down what changes they want to have in ten years.2. Group work. Ask students to do the interviewing job like this:A: What will you be like 10 years later.B: Ill be more outgoing.C: Ill. 1. Students write down the changes they want to have on the paper.2. Four students are a group. One student interviews the other three students. This step is to further consolidate the knowledge and let the students experience the real situation. This activity gives them great hope for the better I. And in the process, students learn to cooperate with group members.SummaryPresent some words of the comparative degree, . Students observe and summarize the ruleThis step helps them have a general conception of the grammar. HomeworkShow some pictures of Bozhou 5 years ago and now.
